Used 2002 Honda Accord EX 4dr Sedan (2.3L 4cyl 5M) Consumer Reviews
Squeaks and rattles
2.5 year old EX-L with 29000 miles. The good: love the engine doesnt make a lot of power but riding single or with one passenger you dont really notice. Really nice 5-speed transmission. The bad: too many squeaks and rattles. The dealer has been cooperative, but a good dealer cant make up for a poorly put together interior. Gas mileage of 16/23. Front rotors warped at 15,000 miles. Seats feel uncomfortable on long rides and the low beam headlights are a joke. Overall, this could have been a really nice car, but falls short because of poor quality control. After 2.5 years of trying Ive decided to sell it and buy something else
Overall Great Car
I bought a Honda because I drive a lot and I wanted good reliable transportation. The car has a great transmission shifts very smooth. It also has very good pickup for a 4 cylinder engine.

Ok but............
Don't get me wrong, I like the car very much, but had a problem with the airbag light that required installation of tons of new computer parts. The only reason I would consider another honda after that is that the dealer's service was great including renting a car at their cost when it wasnt completed. I do like the car very much though
2002 Honda Accord EX review
Very pleasant riding vehicle. Very good visibility. I had no major problems with the car. Handles excellently on dry and wet pavement.
Bewildered
I've been a Honda owner since 1986. Moved up to the EX-V6 with some reservations due to sticker price but got a really good deal I couldn't pass up. On the way home from the dealer that is 125 miles from my home my wife thought the car wasn't running right. It took a few days to determine but sure enough there is a major acceleration problem that has gotten worse over the 3 weeks of ownership. Had the car in the shop three times and Tech Support at Honda can't figure out the problem. The jury's still out on how American Honda will correct the problem but I think another car would be in order.
