Another Solid Accord
The 2002 Special Edition Accord is a rock solid car. 25-30 MPG. Exceptionally low maintenance. Mammoth trunk. A bit lacking in power (no V6), but more than capable. Still elegant inside and out after 6 years. Odometer and Clock are unusable after dark due to poor choice in LCD technology. Comfortable ride both on highway and in town. Plenty of room for the whole family. Cup holder door latch is flimsy and will probably drive you nuts. Another great Accord to add to the list of Accords I've owned. Buy with confidence.
2002 Honda Accord SE Sedan
Overall an excellent car. Great on highway rides or around town. The build quality is excellent. Engine could be a little quieter.

This is a smart buy
This is a car that is relatively cheap has good quality and last long. I think is a great value for your money.
Wonderful car
First time Honda owner. Through all my research, reading and test driving. This car is hard to beat. My V6 runs silky smooth and quiet. It speaks softly but carries a big stick. Fit and finish both inside and out is above average. My major gripe is the sales personnel. I felt like a carcass among predators. The car sells itself; why do they act like vultures?
Proud to own an Accord
Accord is an excellent value car. No doubt, it's the most reliable, dependable car and has great resell value. If you are looking to buy an Accord. Good choice. Go for it. Can't go wrong. Get the EX-V6 if you can. I must say I regret for not getting the EX-V6 as my wife's. The reason I picked up the LX-V6 because it's less $$ and it's in the lot. From my point of view and experience, the EX-V6 worths every extra penny and it's a more enjoinable car. If you decide to go with 4 cycl. model, get the SE for best bang for $$.
Will never own another Honda
I've grown up always hearing how Nice Hondas were how they ran forever as Long as u change the oil and do the maintenance. Finally I bought one because I was driving 100 Miles a day I needed a car I could afford and it would still hold its value. Well what a let down my Honda has been I bought it with 60,000 Miles on it w no warranty and 2 months after buying it the trans starting slipping. Now with 130,000 Miles on it and even if I replace the trans its only worth $4000 what a disappointment.
Great Worker-Bee car
Bought this brand new, now has 170,000 miles. Never did anything to it until I had 150,000. Still as tight and solid as the day I purchased it. Bulletproof reliability, and holding up very well. For the person who spends countless hours in their vehicle, the Honda Accord is it. Nothing too fancy, but just everything right. I want to get the 2008, but one problem. My 2002 still running like a new car.
First Honda
This is my first Honada purchase. What better to go with than the Honda Accord? I just recently traded in my 2001 Toyota 4-Runner (a little prier than I wanted). Got a great deal on an Accord.....got all the good stuff on it. Saw an earlier review saying the leather was rough and didn't look nice. I disagree. I think it is quite comfortable and looks nice. What can i say other than I love the car! I miss the power in my 4-Runner, but man it handles well. Very comfortable, loaded with features, great audio system, nice quality.
Best buy in the Market
its the best car i have had.
First Honda
I've had my Honda Accord for just over a month now, and what can I say about it, I LOVE it. This is my first Honda, I used to own a Chevy Cavalier which gave me lots of problems. So I decided to go with a Honda. I've got 6,000 miles on my car and it's only a month old! This car handles great on the highway, including the ability to shift the automatic into 3rd gear if you need that extra "get-up and go." I'm quite impressed with the pick up, since this is a family sedan. According to the owners manual, you can shift the gears in the automatic, as if it were a stick. I've done this a few times, from a traffic light and wow can this car go!
Great car! Great Quality
Very good quality for this accord. Much better than some american competitor.
Good to Go
I began by leasing my Honda in 2002. When the lease was up, I decided to purchase it. I've been very satisfied with my Honda. I traded a 1995 Aurora for it and although I LOVED my Aurora, the Honda has most of the same features. It's great on gas mileage and roomy enough for four people to travel comfortably. The stereo system really rocks and it's very easy to handle. I've only had to have routine maintenance and so far have had no major problems.
best car
best car ever
much better handling than an altima
the altima no contest has more power (but crappy handling), but to match accord's standards, you would end up paying 28000 when you get an altima. plus it handles SO MUCH better than an altima, its engine is very responsive
Life is Hard Enough. Simplify!
The Honda Accord is one, if not the best built automobile on the road. It's reputation for quality and dependablity are undoubtably well known. They perform well, drive like a dream, with it's tight well designed suspension and they retain their resale value. Ever try trading in a Chrysler with 100K miles, and expect the dealership not to laugh at you because they are only going to give you 10 cents? Honda. It's just an awesome piece of work!
Honda Accord. Great car with no problem
I have had my honda accord since July. I have put over 23,000.00 miles on it and thus far I have had no problems. I get 31 miles per gallon. It is easy to drive and to park. It is a great car. My prior car was a Dodge Intrepid. It was junk and gave me nothing but problems. I replaced every part on the engine and it continued to give me problems. Honday is the way to go.
250k miles is just the beginning
Amazing little car. 250k and driving like new. A few insignificant oil leaks here and there like any high mileage car. Top off the oil now and then and your good to go. Just bought a new battery and starter. Parts are inexpensive. I love driving this car. She handles like a dream and literally can 360 turn on a dime. If you can get your hands on one that's very maintained and under 3k, JUMP on it. It will last at least another 50k miles with the potential of lasting an astronomical number of miles. You can payout $500 a month for a new car or $500 a year for one of these babies. Hope you find one!

Keeps On Ticking
It's not young anymore but still runs like it wants to be. Has had some problems over the years but that's to be expected. Have had this car since it was 2 years old and will keep it as long as it will run. Nothing beats a Honda!
I am so disappointed.
I bought my Accord because it was supposed to be so wonderful. I bought it new and I've had problems with the car since early on. The car now has 51,000. The brake rotors have been resurfaced twice. The door lock motors have all failed. The power window motors have all failed. The air conditioner compressor had to be replaced. The car has never shifted gears smoothly. It gets terrible gas mileage, especially when the air conditioner is on. I am lucky to average 22 mpg and that is driving under the speed limit. My "reliable" Honda has cost me a pile of money in repairs. So far, the engine has not failed, I guess that will be next. I wish I had bought something else.
Couldnt be happier
I bought the Value Package a week ago. The car is smooth and quiet. The engine is very responsive. I couldnt be happier with my purchase.
great car
this is a great car in everyway, to its handling, stlying, and comfort. it has great heavy reponsive steering, and great accleration for a 4 cyclinder. styling is great no imatations. it gives generous room in the front and the back. honda is also some-what cheap for example; no automactic windows and locks standard, and no ash tray for lighter, for a car almost $20k??!!
Boring and Faithful
Bought the car new. No problems with anything but brake pads, which it eats like candy. No trans problems because I drain and fill the trans every 15,000 miles. I have 127,000 miles of rush hour freeway driving on it. Unfortunately, this is the most boring car I have ever owned. It has all the personality of a refrigerator. In fact this car is only an appliance.
Another defective transmission
I like many others have a defective transmission with only 91,000 miles. Honda won't fix it. The transmission was slipping for many years but got worse the last 2 months. I went online and was surprised by all the other Accord owners with the same problem, which really surprised me about a Honda car. There were so many complaints that I was not sure why there is not a recall. I thought Honda had great quality, bad this did not happen in my case. By the way, the new transmission will cost me $35,000.
VTEC ACCORD
BOUGHT A NIGHTHAWK BLACK '02 ACCORD 4 CYCL. 1ST OWN BRAND NEW CAR. ONLY HAD 17K ON IT. RUNS GREAT ON HIGHWAYS AND CITIES. SMOOTH TRANSMISSION. GREAT EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR DESIGN. LOVE THE STEERING WHEEL VOLUME AT THE FINGER TIP. AC IS GREAT. STEREO SOUND WITH 6 CD/CASSETTE IS BETTER THAN MOST OUT THERE. GAS MILEAGE IS GREAT! GREAT SERVICE AT FAMILY HONDA. BLACK EXTERIOR COLOR SHOWS EVEN THE SLIGHTEST SCRATCH AS A RESULT NEED TO WASH 2X A MONTH. AFTERMARKET PARTS ARE EASY TO FIND.
cheap built
we have a 2002 honda accord and a 1992 honda accord it is amazing that honda has went so cheap as to put thin metal in the 2002 accord. and the ride is terrible and lots of wind noise... we will be trading asap...
Reliable
At 110K and going strong. The car is reliable. I have replaced brakes - front (1) and rear (2), and tires. I have come to expect reliability in vehicles and have not been disappointed in any I have owned. This is no exception.
JUST MY LUCK !!!!!!
OUR CAR IS A LEMON FROM DAY ONE. THE A/C MISSING DUCT WORK AND CAUSED WATER TO DRAIN INSIDE THE CD CHANGER THAT HAD TO BE REPLACED, AND NOW A BAD MOLDLIKE SMELL THAT CANNOT BE REMOVED. THE CAR FAILS TO START ON OCCASION. THE FUEL PUMP COMES ON ABOUT EVERY FIVE MINUTES WITHOUT THE KEY IN THE IGNITION BUT THE DEALER SAYS THAT IS NORMAL. THIS WILL BE THE LAST HONDA I WILL EVER OWN. BUYER BEWARE!!! THIS CAR WAS MEANT FOR THE CRASH DUMMIES.
Great Car, Great Value
It is a wonder to me that Hondas of this vintage are still a common site on the roads. Still runs great. Nothing has changed. Still runs great.....

Depends who you talk to; mine was junk.
Despite the total lack of modern features, seemed like an awesome car initially. All I had to do was get a cooling problem fixed and later put a new thermostat in. But then, 40 months after purchase, I'm in stop and go traffic on interstate, there's a line of cars 10 feet ahead so I try hard to brake... and nothing happens and I crash at ~153000 miles. First time brakes ever suddenly failed to function in a critical moment on any car I've ever driven. I won't forgive Honda for this any time soon. Lots of others have had great luck with Honda but I didn't.

A good model car
Owning this car for 17 years is fantastic. Never gave me a big problem. Just the usual common maintenance.
