Honest opinion
Overall a nice car. Value, style, driving experience are nice features. Gas mileage 19- 26 depending on tires and driving style. Throttle body sticks, transmission sometimes shifts poorly, alternator and pwr lock died at 72k.
Best car ive ever had
I have had this car since it was brand new'. It's an ex v6 coupe, black on black. To this day with 490,000 miles on it, it still runs like its a new car. Engine runs perfectly, transmission is still running strong (for the tome being) I changed the last one at 200,000. Changed both axles twice, just changed a wheel bearing ($300) passenger window motor ($200). I always put Michelin tires on my car. I have since it was new. I wash it every 1 to 2 weeks (paint is starting to fade on the hood and roof but hey thats battle scars, the sides still shine from a mile away. For 15 years i drove it 150-300 miles a day. Never had a problem. The interior still looks new inside. I put a k&n intake on with a chip for the engine. Trust me it makes the car sound like an expensive sports car coming down the road. Still males plenty of power. It gives my 2018 e350 a run for its money (it wont beat it though obviously) I mean i have to give it to this car. Its beem through a whole lot driving 490,035 miles as of 2020. It still runs strong. Excele t build quality. It is truely a great car. The seats still feel like they did when i bought it. A lot of things about that car still remind me of the test drive 22 years ago. You will notice little things, minor little rattles coming from places every now and then but thats natural for 22 year old plastic. That happened around 450,000. But for all of y'all who say they want their cars to reach 500,000 miles on their Honda's. I. Here to say you can. I expect another 50 to 100k out of this car. Just remember oil change every 4-5k and change the transmission fluid every oil change. It keeps those transmissions going. But dont do a flush just a fluid change. And also rotate your tires every time. I also lowered it and put performance suspension on it. Rides even better than it did new. Kyb is a great aftermarket suspension for those cars. No problems after 75k on them so far. In nee orleans I forgot to mention. Our streets SUCK!!! I wish every one who has the same challenge of 500k the best of luck. It wont be too hard. Just keep that transmission going. Dont be too hard on them. Thats how the first one went.

Best caar evet
As long as u do all the required maintenance she will last ! My old besty will be 20 years old next year. I plan to drive her till she drops...
w/ the 5 speed=perfect daily driver
Clear coat peel is a major problem with this particular year and model Honda, first year of water born clear coat as opposed to oil. Motor itself is bulletproof reliable, think AMC/Jeep 4.0, Ford 4.6, GM 3.8, etc. These motors are that rugged! Use a high quality oil/filter and change them every 5k miles and these things will literally run forever. Do yourself a favor for both drivings sake, as well as stated reliability, and find yourself one equipped with the 5 speed manual transmission. Currently at 214,000 miles and climbing on mine. Dollar for dollar you will not find a better daily driver. First year for the transponder key which is huge on these cars in terms of theft deterrent. My only gripe is the lack of leg room in the front seats for plus 6 footers, and the lack of availability of a V6/manual trans Sedan in this generation.

Honda Accord EXV6 Sedan
It's been a great car for us. Bought the car in 2000 with 24k miles. It has 153,000 now. V6 is fun to drive. Feels like a sports car. Only trouble is intake manifold clogging causing check engine light to keep coming on. There has been Honda service bulletins on this. Front tires seem to wear fast. Michelins are expensive to replace. Plan on keeping this car till it is to expensive to fix. I heard 1998-2002 Honda Accords had problems with their transmissions. We've had good luck here.
