GMC JIMMY
if you wait to buy a GMC TERRAIN DENALI until it’s 2 or 3 years old, with low mileage (under 15k miles), you can save 12-14 grand vs. the price of a new one. The 2.0 turbo has more power than any of its competitors, except the Jeep Cherokee. After driving both, the build quality, 9 speed tranny, safety features, ride, and stereo system moved the needle in GM’s favor. We love the way GMC products look now, they look rugged. I get about 27 mpg on the highway, and when you push the 2.0 turbo, it really delivers power nicely. Excellent SUV for traveling and visiting Lowe’s, Home Depot, or Walmart to load up. Very happy with the value and price point.

DO NOT BUY
Have had this vehicle for 3 months. Have had it in the shop 3 times in the last 2 weeks. It will get up to 75 mph and 3000 rpm and will not shift. You have to completely let off the gas to make it shift. They have now replaced the TCM (Transmission Control Module) and it is worse then when I brought it in. It will not shift properly or accelerate correctly. OH, and it only has 35,000 miles. SO DISAPOINTED

Uncomfortable POS
This is a fleet vehicle from my company and have no choice but to put up with it. I have had 8 recalls. I’ve put 30,000 miles on it last year and the seats are so uncomfortable and sit at a weird angle it drives me crazy. I’m sure it’s bad craftsmanship based on everything else. How could an engineer come up with such a horrible seat and seating position. Do we really need 4” bucket seats on a vehicle not much more powerful than my lawnmower? I’m pleading with my company to get rid of it. It’s so bad I may quit over it. It’s that bad. DON’T BIY ONE OF THESE!!!!!

No Shifter Kills the Sale
Whoever came up with the "out of direct sight" push button transmission should find another job. The dealer explains that women complained to GM because they could not put their bag closer to them.....so whala- lets get rid of the gear shift lever and give women more space for the bag. Standard gear shifts for triptronic or similar D-2-1 transmissions add a level of enjoyment to a normally boring auto transmission. Eliminating a simple gearshift guarantees lost sales to men and women who prefer to use a gear shift for downshifting, especially up and down mountain roads, and especially parking in tight spaces. Going to check out the new Santa Fe.

GMC Terrain - BEST IN CLASS
For comfort, luxury, styling, and performance; this is the best SUV in its class, bar none. Unbelievable gas mileage, averaging 36 mpg with over 11K miles of driving.

Great Useful Vehicle with a Cool Look!
I have had this vehicle for a year and am very pleased overall with it. I was forced into buying when my last car simply died and have no regrets. I'm a busy mom so alot of getting kids in and out I have plenty of room for their car seats and to maneuver without killing my back, lugging around loads of stuff I have moved up to 200 pounds of horse grain bags in the trunk and dealing with messy shoes on kids which are manageable with the the wipe clean leather. This car has great power with the turbo for merging when I need it. It's louder than my sedan was due to the extra space in the rear so I often tell the kids to speak up, but we manage. Favorite parts are the Turbo, fuel efficiency, all wheel drive when I need it in Buffalo, NY snow/ice and it's reliability it's needed no repairs and I have had no issues. Things I don't love are the front seats are meant for someone taller than my 5"2" stature this is an issue I have in Chevy vehicles as well, I can't get the head rest right and it feels like it's pushing my head forward. The navigation is excellent if you manually type it in but the voice recognition is the worst I have ever experienced, it's embarrassing as far as technology goes. I can say 1 2 3 Main street Buffalo, NY and it will come up with wild things like Albatross Blvd Kalamazoo Michigan.... It's very weird. The truck is a little a small and I have pile my groceries on top of each other, but knew that going into it. Over all a major win and hi

GMC Poor Service
I traded in a loaded 2017 Cadillac for the loaded Terrain Denali because of little issues the Cadillac kept having and poor dealership experience. I liked the SUV a lot but I made the mistake of purchasing at the same bad dealership. The Terrain got good fuel economy and had a very good ride. The dealer service was the downfall of this vehicle. When I purchased it the radio stations would not change using the steering wheel control and it had a noise in the suspension when backing out of my driveway. I took the Terrain back to the selling dealer in Denton Texas. They kept my Terrain for months attempting to fix it. Finally I got tired of waiting on false promises from the dealer and went and picked up the Terrain. After calling the owner of the dealership and listening to him tell me how sorry he was for having such a poor service department, I drove it down the street and traded it in on a new Honda. I was just tired of this Gerneral Motors dealership that didn't care. I never received a survey from GM so called and they said the dealer didn't turn in any information on my repair because they knew I would give a bad review.

GMC or CadillacTh
The new Cadillac XT4 will be a much better value for the money and resale. But it is also under powered.

Great styling and ride
Stylish vehicle
The vehicle was an awesome price! It has all of the modern technology and comfortability that a vehicle should have. The only downside to the vehicle for us, is the trunk space. With this being considered a compact SUV, it really shows when you open the hatch to the trunk. Every other area of the vehicle has ample amount of room.

just right size
Good power with 2.0T. Can burn E 15 regular. MPG is slightly better with premium. Handles good for a CUV. Standard seats are fine but prefer leather. Ease of entry/exit very good. Plenty of room in front and back seats for average size person. Adaptive brake warning was a option. Like the body style. Push button transmission is ok. Engine works well with new 9 speed. My SLE trim has the 2.0T, heated front seats options.

Beautiful Suv...
It has been what I wanted color in and out loaded and even extras! I am smiling when I come out and see it and especially driving it... I LOVE MY NEW GMC TERRIAN
A glitchy computer on wheels
We had a 1999 GMC Jimmy that I loved. I drove it until the wheels fell off. It was the most reliable car we have ever owned. So we bought a new 2018 Terrain SLE to replace the Jimmy. GMC lost credibility with this modern version of an Edsel. The visors are too small so glare is a constant problem. Neither my 6 ft 2" husband or myself can use the visor effectively. The console is set too high it's difficult for the driver to use the console. The ride is poor and the arm rests are so minimal that I need foam rubber pillows left in the car for longer trips than around town. The front end is boxy and I can't see well enough down to safely navigate obstacles. The number of curbs and parking lot barriers I've hit because I can't see far enough down over the nose. The car windows are positioned so it's difficult to merge into traffic. There is a huge blind spot on the driver's side. This car has been towed into the dealer five times in four years. Once again this week the car lurched and a "Service Engine" light came on. I immediately pulled into a commercial parking lot as the car warning came up "Power to engine reduced" warning came on. I hate this car. No one should be forced to drive a lemon. We only have 40,000 miles driven but I'm afraid to drive this car outside the city. The interior is cramped & I am limited on hauling d/t the smaller rear cargo area. The only positive is the great gas mileage. I would not recommend this car to my worst enemy.

Towing is Terrible
I leased the basic 2018 Terrian to haul a fairly light weight utility trailer and was sorry I did. Regardless of any additional settings, this front wheel drive Terrain has NO towing power in a small to larger amount of snow.
