Loved my pickup (until someone read-ended me) I bought my 99 GMC in 2004 from my best friend with 52,000 miles on it. Had the 5.3 V8 in it. One of the best motors GM has ever made! It had POWER! Out ran stock mustangs! And out ran dodge hemi truck (I had a few aftermarket parts on it nothing major or real expensive less than $100 worth) also got 20-21 mpg around town! Drove from Augusta to Jacksonville & back (500 miles) & had over a 1/4 tank of gas still in it!!! Never had a single problem with it in 15 years!!! Stock brake pads lasted 150,000 miles! Stock alternator 170,000 miles! All the repairs didn't come until after 150,000 miles!!! (Did them all myself) I'm buying a 2003 GMC Sierra ext cab pretty soon with only 40,000 original miles on it! Looking forward to getting another GMC after I pick it up soon!!!

I bought it as a second truck compared to my 06 tundra 2wd. My new awesome GMC is 4WD and I found myself driving it more than I thought. Hasn’t had any problems in my 5k miles I put on it. Bought it with 123K and it sounded just as good as the new ones on the lot. I love the look of it and the ride.

A nice Truck

I just got this a few day s ago and here are my first reactions: I have the 5.3 V-8 and it preforms well. Although it doesn't have the power of my Z-28, it can move fast enough. The ride is better then the fords I looked at. The Auto 4WD is good, but you may want to turn it off for parking. It is very comfortable and fun to drive, it is a truck that you can do stuff with like moving and off road driving but it can be driven every day. I will try and write an update after i have drivin it for a while.

My first full sized truck. 5.3L engine has been great. The truck has 80k miles and has had very few mechanical problems. I easily average 16 to 18 mpg around town and 20 to 21 mpg on hwy which is darn good for a full sized truck.
