Love my All Terrain Duramax
I have been wanting to write a review on my 2016 Canyon for a awhile And after driving 50,000 miles, I believe I have a good feel for it now. I bought My Canyon in 2016 off the lot, three states over (Yes it was the best deal ever) also they, by far the had the biggest selection of Canyon diesel (125+) in stock It was nice to have a big selection to pick from instead of the 1 or 2 at the local dealers. I have had a diesel trucks for 20 years. A Ford and Chevy and now the GMC. The 2000 F 250 Ford NorthStar diesel. I was the most un-happies with. A true fix or repair daily vehicle. Once among other problems, an oil line to the turbo came off and all the oil drain out. It did damage to about $3500 of lubricated parts. It was still under warranty. Thank God Keep it till just about 100,000 miles. My next Diesel was a 2004 Heavy Duty Chevy 2500 Duramax Diesel. I drove it for 250,000 and it treated me well. It was getting time for a new vehicle because I was getting close to retirement. Looking for something that made better fuel mileage for city driving and highway driving. I saw that all of the big 3 had plans to start producing of a mid-size trucks. Chevy/GMC and Toyota were the only ones making a mid-size truck at that time. I look at both and like the GMC best. It has a style and look all it own. Now for the bonus, it comes in a diesel model too Because of that I started my research 2.8 L, 181hp and 369 lb-ft 22city – 31highway I will say I don’t think I have never made less than 24mpg in city and more accurate it is more like 25-27mpg and the best I have made is 35 highway. But the more true mileage is 31-32mpg highway at 65 to 70mph and from time to time I will calculate fuel mileage just to see how accurate the computer is. This is the best riding truck I have driven, best looking truck, best mileage truck, and for someone who is retiring or has retired, this the perfect truck. I have the All Terrain 4x4 with 7700 lbs. toeing, it is perfect. I retired this year and am so glad I bought the GMC Diesel Canyon I can not see me myself driving a Ford Ranger or the Jeep Gladiator or the Toyota Tacoma and at this time no one has a diesel yet. The 2016 GMC Duramax Canyon has earned every single of the 5 stars

Has everything i want
Above average medium size truck
Okay gas mileage, built sturdy like a truck should be. 4 cylinder engine developed an engine tick at roughly 95,000 miles. This happened after service with oil changes done on very conservative side ( 4 to 5 thousand miles between changes always Mobil one full synthetic ). Not what you would expect.
