I have had my Acadia for 2 years and had more trouble for what it's worth. I have had it in the shop for too many non-routine repairs then desired. Big thing is that they are leaky which can cause lots of problems with the electronic systems. It is too bad because the $$ you pay for these SUV's should represent a quality product. After my lease is done so am I with the Acadia.

We needed a vehicle to haul 2 children and thier friends. Gas mileage was a concern. This vehicle has plenty of room and great gas mileage. A added bonus was the fact that everyone that sees it comments how great it looks.

I purchased my Acadia brand new in June 2008. I love the way the exterior is made and it is a totally fun vehicle to drive. I hate the fact that the interior of the vehicle was made so cheap. The rear floor vent covers keep coming off, the middle bench seat has never operated correctly since I drove it off the dealer's lot. Additionally, the driver side window will intermittently just stop working for periods of time. Unfortunately, the window never seems to act up when I take it to the dealership. I also hate the carpet material that is on the back of the seats, because over time it starts to look awful and is all matted. I live in Michigan, and the vehicle does not handle well in the snow

In regards to owning a 2008. The hour I bought it the rear window button was messed up. 2 weeks later the air conditioning went out. 3 months later the power steering gear box shaved part on the actual gears and I lost all power to the steering. At the time I was 6 months pregnant and I was scared to drive it. The owner CEO of GMC should remember my letter unless the staff signed it for him. Then within the next 7 months the power steering was reached a total of 3 times. I traded it in the dealer I bought it from for a '09' model. After owning this for 1 year and a half at about 55,465 miles same for the 08, now battery issues and it needed a new alternator. 800.00. I just bought a VolvoXC90

water leakage

We too are having problems with water inside the vehicle.Pretty embarrassing having passengers notice water is dripping from the dome light in the back seat and they get wet putting on their seatbelt. We have had it to the shop three times now, first it was the drain tubes, then they said it was the roof rack and now thirdly, it's the sunroof. (they admitted fixing the drain tubes incorrectly on the first visit) Water dripped from the dome light, from the seatbelts, under the driver side soaking the floor board. We had it leak onto the dash board from the inside window. As much as we all spend on these GMCs this is unacceptable. We hope there is no long term damage. FRUSTRATING!!
