100K Still Going
Enjoyed the Storm for almost 10 years. Maintained it well, and it has responded with little to no trouble. Fun to drive and is quite roomy with the use of the hatchback. Back seat is more for show, but plenty of room and comfort in the front.
92 Geo Storm GSI 1.8 4 speed automatic
Just bought this car. only problem is cannot find an egr valve for it. Other wise it runs real good and is fun to drive. If any one knows of someone who has this valvee contact me. Had a 93 geo storm 1.2 liter sold it and regreated it as it was a real screamer. This 92 is a screamer also but automatic. Will consider selling it if you are intersted. Or maby some one in Europe may have this part.
My first car...surprisingly not too shaby!
When I got my license at the age of 16 I wanted to get a Mercedes-Benz E350 and be the big shot at high school, but unfortunately reality takes over and I ended up getting a yellow 1992 Geo Storm with 105K miles on the odometer. I paid $1500 for the car and I fell in love with her as soon as I started her up. I'm 6'2" and I was surprised but I got pretty well in the driver's seat. The car was so low to the ground she reminded me of driving a go-kart as soon as I sat in her. The Geo storm was amazing on gas. I mean I was getting between 30-35mpg! It rely lacked in acceleration and I had to plant my foot on the gas peddle to get the baby going. Definitely not an ideal highway ride, but it was awesome on the back roads and city streets. The exhaust was so loud that I could barely hear my aftermarket stereo system so I had to buy an amplifier and subwoofer to drown out the excess noise. I had this car from 2005 until 2008 and I put 50K miles on it. All I had to do was change the oil and do routine maintenance. I never had to pay for any repairs whatsoever.
