Still love it 2yrs later
After 10 years of driving a Mercedes Benz S600 with thousands of dollars worth of repairs I wish I would of bought a Genesis G90 Ultimate long ago. I actually like driving it more and it’s nice to have peace of mind on long trips it won’t break down.

As Good As Anything
This car is the effective equivalent of any of the large, premium RWD sedans that I have owned - 3x 750li, Equus and 550 (just about everything but a8). I had one 750li that was AWD and it is not anywhere near the same level as the RWD for driving, so let's leave AWD out of this. While some might quibble about things here or there, the overall packages are all great. For example, I liked how my 750li heated steering wheel took less time to get hot, but the Lexicon stereo is well beyond anything else in a German car. The natural V8 is probably not as fast as the turbo v8s in the others (I am not a kid, so I mostly don't care about being faster than low 5s), but in just normal driving the immediate torque is way better than turbo lag. Perhaps the most important thing is that my Equus (Genesis g90 prequel) before this was at 146k miles before it needed anything but pads, oil and alignment, and that was because some liquids got in some buttons and the air shocks were getting tired. This Genesis is over 100k now needing nothing but maintenance nor alignment. By the time my last 750li had 75k miles, it had a new engine, three turbos (three!!!), transmission, a few relays, handful of injectors and coils, navi system (thank goodness for certified preowned) and much else. The g90 nor the Equus before it needed any hoses, gaskets or other expensive replacements of things that Germans consider normal maintenance. In any case, if you care considering this car, get the RWD and the V8 and just enjoy the ride. If you have any minor grievance, I can promise that you would have some with other models too.
