I was wanting a Transit Connect since Debut. Ford does plenty of commercial business with these and as of now the dealer discounts to consumers are not huge. The different Window configurations intrigued me, but I chose windows and Silver Metallic, because I think upwards of 75 percent of the cargo vans are white. Windows are a good thing in today's busy driving world but for those who opt windowless the customizing options inside are even more endless. The extras in the XLT do not grab me and the CD radio is still half garbage, so I went with an XL and up fitting the van to taste. A Better aftermarket Stereo is mandatory. Alloy wheels merit consideration; basic steel wheels come on all.

As a business owner I bought this to replace my 1996 ford explorer with over 300,000 miles. I was suppose to get 21 to 26 mpg. I get 19.5, only 3 mpg better than my v-8 explorer. Same roads, driver and payload. This is most likely due to the extremely underpowered engine which has to work hard to pull hills in western MD. Needs to drop 2 gears to travel up hills on interstate. 6200 RPM right below redline to travel 70 mph on these hills. Forget acceleration-it doesn't exist. Good vehicle for around town but not made to drive on highways. Salesman told me power wuld not be a problem. Yeah, read any article.

Under 200k miles : replace engine , 2 transmissions, all belts and hoses, 7 front wheel bearings , 3 alternator s, 5 power steering pumps , computer, 6 sets of brakes and rotors , pass door lock, 6 sets of tires , 6 brake light bulbs, both rear axle spindle s welded on crooked from turkey ass plant , egr valve , 2 oxygen sensors , 4 coils , 4 sets of spark plugs , lost 3 hub caps within a hundred miles , $20 k in repairs ! Ford dealer service is a joke ! Currently at 261k miles next repair other than maintence will be to the crusher . Owned dozens of trucks vans , sports cars , luxury vehicles , this one I regret buying !

This car has provided us with a means of transporting shipments in a fast and efficient manor. It has performed whatever task we needed from it while also being fuel efficient.

Great to drive large size Windows make it spacious. Great for parking in the city. Gets the job done!
