Used 2012 Ford Transit Connect Consumer Reviews
Transmission is an issue
61800 and 1 month past warranty date - the transmission fails. My husband has babied this vehicle-no heavy loads, no fast accelleraton, garaged most of the time. Transmission failure appears to be an issue with Ford Transits. We got no satisfaction from Ford. Avoid these vehicles.

An excellent choice
After driving this van in Europe I am glad that it is now available in the US. I use is as my personal vehicle not for any business. A truly utilitarian vehicle that combines all the good road manners, efficiency and fuel economy - this IS a true SUV - not the huge "living rooms on wheels" that call themselves SUVs. Power is very adequate, handling is great and the interior room is much larger than many full-size SUVs or trucks. Parking is just as good - fits easily where a mid-size car would. Turning radius is fantastic nice and the van turns on a dime. Seats are very comfortable for the long haul. All in all a very nice vehicle indeed.

Can't see Can't see
I drive this vehicle for a company more the 10 hours a day. I took the veicle from another driver. We used to joke about how many fender benders and hits the old driver had in this vehicle. He always said it's hard to see. Well, he was right I had a spotless driving record prior to taking this vehicle. I have had more near misses in this vehicle and finally a woman sideswiped me as I merged into her lane. I just didn't see her because she was in the huge blind spot over my left shoulder. I'm a professional driver. I signal, look and then proceed. I just couldn't see her. The real fun is the parts department at Ford. There has to be a thousand of these Transit Connects running around yet they don't carry the parts. More than that they are like all Ford crap parts! way over priced.

This van is a joke
I use a Transit at work transporting college students around. I have never been more disappointed with a new car. the only pros are the goofy look, which I like, and the head room. Everything else on the van is awful. The steering is extremely stiff to the point my hands hurt toward the end of my shift. The seats are very uncomfortable and don't have the right kind of support you need to sit in a car for long periods of time. The van i use has 30k miles on it and it has 1 hubcap left on it. It has been in the shop numerous times for brake issues and electrical problems. I have hope for the new redesigned ones but these cars are junk and are way to overpriced.
I use mine commercially and have had 2
I use mine for commercial audio, video and lighting work. I've had two and run them both to high mileage. They have been very reliable. They do not have a ton of power so I you have a heavy foot or no patience this might not be for you. I'm impressed with it's ability to handle weight and like the layout. I hate the remote door locks and the fact that the back doors are treated as if they were a trunk. If you get into the cab you can unlock the back side doors, this is very foolish for a commercial vehicle. Those who have inventory and tools hate this feature.
