One to keep!!
I bought this car brand new after a LOT of research on different cars. I have put 143,000 HARD miles on it, and it hasn't had a single major problem. I was thinking about getting a new car, but I just couldn't let the tbird go. When I do get another car, I'll keep the tbird for a daily driver (to work etc.). I don't know what others have to say, but I am very happy with this car! On a daily basis I punish it, and it keeps coming back for more!!
Thunderous Torque
My Super Coupe cruises at speeds well over the dollar mark silently and with seemingly no effort. It feels like it's concealing a huge V8 under the hood when the clutch engages; but then that's the beauty of its supercharged and intercooled 3.8L V6. Handling is remarkably neutral and predictable but the ride is a little stiff and bumpy over rough roads. The power-lumber and power-side-bolster seats and are very comfortable, even on long drives. It’s difficult to think of many complaints. There are a few minor squeaks and rattles and the interior materials don't win any raves. But I still look forward to getting behind the wheel every time.
the best money I have ever spent
I purchased a 1995 Ford Thunderbird LX and its the best money I have ever spent on a car. I'm the third owner, and the other two owners live across the street. it has very good pick up, the transmission shifts smooth, the interior is very comfortable, the seats feel like they form around you. It feels like your sitting in a cockpit of an airplane.
Great car
I am very pleased with the T-Bird. Great exterior design. Great speed and very comfy ride. Solid built and very powerful.Ford should have stayed with the design. For those who don`t want a Mustang but rather a more sporty look, this is the car. There are a lot of aftermarket body parts that you can get to give it a personal touch. Saw a NASCAR version at a car show and it blew everybody away.
I love my T-Bird
I feel the T-Bird is one of the best cars manufactured. I suppose that's why it has been around for nearly half a century. The only real complaint I have, again, is the positioning of the cup holders. Luckily that has been enhanced on the newer models. At 110,000 miles my car has never left me stranded and has only been in the shop for one minor problem (shy of maintanence items). I've driven this car HARD since it was new. As long as you change the oil it will last you. THE BEST NEVER REST.
