I bought this car when I was 16 and for the past three years it's been a constant money leach.Even though I take good care and only use about one third of an average yearly milege Its broken down 4 times and what happened at 80,000 miles, you guessed it ...the tranny went.Overall it's a cheaply made unefficient gas hog.

This car is COMPLETE JUNK. Do not buy one... Quality is awful, layout is very poorly planned as far as the engine bay goes. Engine vibrates, transmission is complete junk. Window trim is complete garbage. This car is a complete nightmare to drive and work on.

BEEN A PLEASURE

I bought this car in 1997 with 39000 miles on it. It now has over 140000 and has never failed once. The only parts to ever be repalced were the battery and MAF sensor and Alternator. I drove between Atlanta and Ft. Worth at 28 mpg or better documented.

I purchased a used T-Bird with V-8. Excellent reliability, and comfort features (if you ignore the stupid location of the cup holder). No problems after 114k miles. Not a winter weather car however, traction in snow is shaky at best.

I received this car for little money and it needed some preventive maintaince done to it which was long over due and neglected by previous owner. I am still having trouble with the transmission but will fix it once and for all real soon with the help and advice of a good qualified mechanic.
