The King is Dead!
This has been the most amazing car we have ever owned! Sad to say, the head just blew and we decided to replace it.....at 316,000+ miles. Six months ago, we had to replace the tranny...*sigh*. Aside from that, the only other problem was that the evil yellow light of death came on at about 150,000 miles, and never went off. We just bought a '97 Cougar with 47,000 miles, and the inside is similar but I doubt it will replace the T-bird in our hearts *sniffle.* WHY did Ford discontinue this car???
1995 ford thunderbird v6 101k 14 yrs old
Hello I'm 19 years old and have owned my bird for about a year,I have always enjoyed working on cars especially this one. As far as driving goes mine is a V6 so no"show stopper"but for what it is power is not to bad. the independent rear susp.makes for a very good ride, smooth and glidey feeling. The fact it is rwd might deter some buyers, but i live in Michigan and have no problem getting around, the IRS,and ABS systems make this a very easy car to drive. I would recommend this car to anyone. Period give this car a chance bring the super coupe back!!!! Henry ford
WODNERFUL VEHICLE
I bought my t-bird about a year ago and love it i have the 3.6 l v-6 and it has plenty of power and good gas mileage. I have had no major problems out of it. The only think that i found was that the oil filter is on the front side of the motor and part of the wiring harness and cross member can make it difficult to change but beside this I would recommend this car to any one.
Fun car but expensive car
I've had my Thunderbird for four years now. I think I spent $1400 for it. In these four short years, I have put almost $4000 dollars into it. I'll done had problems from torch converter cracking to the doors to heavy for the hinges, making the doors start to fall down to all kind of other problems and trying to firgure what's making my knock when I do regular service on my car (thinking pushrods or valves). I mean, don't get me wrong, T-birds are good, fun cars. If it wasn't, I woundn't put so much into it. On the bright side, they're very good on gas. They have alot of power, very fast. They handle curves good amongst other things. Overall I love the 95t-bird, it just cost alot to keep up.
i hate this car so much, NEVER buy
o gosh, ford. there ya go, that explains it. Where do i start? i have had SSOO many problems with this car. The TRANNY, electrical problems, lights burn out constantly, stalling of engine, overheating of engine, tranny fell out, trucks space limited, poor sound system, 1 wheel came off driving at 55 mph, not good pick up, is that enough to turn you away from this car? trust me dont buy one. It has spent weeks in the shop. its a peice of crap. dont put your money down the drain!
