Lots of problems

I'm 19 now and as a first car, it was alright. My "trans axle" light came on regularly with no known cause. Hoses came loose causing A/C not to be cold. Last fall I ended up hydroplaning on a main highway. I was (idiotically) not wearing my seat belt when I hit water, lost control, and hit the guardrail on both ends of my car. I spun 360 then 180 and landed in front of the exit sign going 295S to 64E. Luckily, I was not hurt. I tried to turn the car back on, but the wreck completely destroyed the front. One thing that stuck out was that the airbags never deployed when I hit the guardrail and began spinning. If you consider yourself a safe driver then this car may be a good fit.

Recommend Ford Taurus with Exceptions

My vehicle is a company vehicle. The only complaints I have with this car is the amount of room provided with the standard driver's seat and not having the duratec engine (3.0L 4V the 3.0L 2V is standard). I had a 2001 with no power seat or power pedals and it was unbearable to drive do to the seat not going back far enough(I am 6'3"). I was able to pass that car off and get the 2002 model with a power seat and power petals and now enjoy a comfortable drive.

I really didn't want another Taurus. I drove the Altima, Camry, Maxima, and Gallant. Did I mention I really didn't want another Taurus? But my friend said drive one anyway. I fell in love. New style is to die for. My model is fully loaded..some things are a little extravagant, but oh well!! Drives like a gem. Solid, hugs the road, sporty, practical, and GREAT price. Go ahead!! Splurge on the leather seats..it's worth it!!

My wife and I Just bought a Taurus Wagon, We loved the price and the space.Traded in a 99 Explorer Sport which was good but not a family car, also seemed like they kept on building it through all the recalls. The Taurus Wagon is very spacious for cargo and passengers. The roof rack is low enough to load up with out bringing a ladder with you as with SUV's. Ride and handling also are good. Don't know why Ford dosen't put back seat head rests in there cars.

I like this vehicle very much..i traded a '00 Honda Accord for it.It seems to ride much better than Honda w/more power and good gas mileage.I have loaded-out model & am especially happy w/adj. pedals, safety group, sport pak. I'd highly recommend this Ford to any- one..my neighbor is trading his '99 Camry after riding in my Taurus!
