Used 2000 Ford Taurus Sedan Consumer Reviews
2000 Taurus SE Review
I have had this car for 2 years and overall it is a good car. A bit sporty & stylish and comfortable on the long drives and quite reliable. I agree with the comments about under powered and this is an easy problem to fix but Ford has once again ignored its customers. My biggest problem, and this will probably cause me to buy another brand of car, is a leaking oil pan. It was fixed 10 months ago and it is leaking once again and the local dealer refuses to do anything to help me other than charge me for another oil pan gasket. Other than that I haven't had a lot of problems with the car and I will probably keep it a few more years before looking at a Chevrolet Impala.
Great Family Car
I traded in an Explorer for this vehicle and couldn't be more pleased. This is my first car in 10 years and I absolutely love it. I like the redesign of the Taurus. It rides smoothly and handles very well. If your looking for an everyday vehicle for commuting or family use I highly recommend this car.
Very Impressive Record
Incredible reliability over the years. There was never a day that the engine or transmission missed a beat even in twenty below zero Canadian cold. The only problems ever encountered in 165,000 miles(264,000KM)were warped brake rotors, front sway bar links clicking and a hardened and cracked windshield washer line. Of course I had to change a few light bulbs and adhered to scheduled maintenance, but that's all that has ever failed! I am hanging on to this car and have my fingers crossed...

A great car!
Never had a problem
Very reliable and comfortable. Fun to drive. One of the tires (Firestone) went bad at 20000 miles.
