1995 Ranger
I just wanted to share my experience with my Ranger that I bought new in 1995. Well, 98,000 miles later the only problems I have had with this truck are two dead batteries. I bought it on a budget, but this has been the most reliable vehicle I have owned, by far exceeding any expectations I had. I recently bought a 2003 Passat GLX and the Ranger is still the vehicle I drive to work every day. It has been a real workhorse and a very usefull hauling tool (all over California, Kentucky, Arizona and New Mexico). Great memories and a great little truck.
I love my Ranger!
It's very dependable, and gets great gas milage. Very easy to drive. The super cab is great for bringing the kids along. Great truck for camping, and just everyday driving. I love my Ranger!

Lives up to Its Reputation
After reading consumer reports and other reviews of small pickups, I wanted a Ranger ext. cab. They are in short supply in the used market and I was finally able to find one owned by a retired couple. With the 2.3 litrert engine it's not a speed demon but cruises easily on highway and freeway. the interior dash is nice and uncluttered with controls easy to reach. A very comfortable ride on pavement and dirt.
My first truck
I have about 144000 mi. and its still running strong, it had a few electrical problems, like the wipers would go on whenever it wanted and the oil press. would sometime read high, abs sensors, and the switch for the right door. other than that everything else is orginal, exept for maintance stuff. I love this truck, i treat with care (looks brand new), but i am very hard on it, and it just keep on taking the abuse, even though it is a little four banger (kind of slow).
Great truck to drive and own
I bought my Ranger from a buddy of mine last may(06)and it had a little over 41000 on her. He bought it 6 months earlier with only 37,312 miles on her. I just drove her from Philly, PA to Cimarron, NM and averaged around 28 miles on the highway. It has the 4.0L V6 and a limited slip rear. The truck definitely gets up and goes when needed. My check engine light came on around 60K but it appears that's common. The door ajar only happens whenn its warm out, so that means the door solinoid in the jam sticks when its hot out. I am very happy with the truck because I can depend on it without any issues. When it dies I plan on getting another Ranger, but the X-tra cab and 4WD. Great buy
