I have had my GT for over a year. It now has around 140,000 miles and still runs great. Of course, I have put a lot of money in repairs, but it remains an absolutely wonderful car to drive.

Bang for the Buck

Good car for the dollar. 2.5L V6 humps with the 5-speed. Just wish the KLZE engine was available in the U.S. Extreme acceleration for a 164HP engine. The 5-speed is a must, FUN FUN FUN! Tires are expensive. Both CV joints pooped on me. Interior rattles like a snake, but all of them do. Exhaust is tuned nicely. Looks aren't bad, very customizable car. Car doesn't get much glory considering it's a domestic, Ford. Surprises many! Sits low to the ground, not snow-friendly. If the engine goes, KLZE's can be imported from Canada or Asia. The KLZE engine is directly swappable and pushes 200HP. Can you imagine?

can't go wrong with this car

I bought my Probe with 145,000 miles on it and it still runs great. I've had a few minor frustrating problems like the idle, but the reason they were so expensive is because it took the mechanics a loong time to figure out what was wrong. And it always could be counted on to drive. It must be a complicated car. Overall, its awesome, I get compliments on it all the time, thats not bad for a $1500 car, and if it died right now I'd but another one. The value of probes is so low that you really can't go wrong if you want a great looking reliable sporty looking car. I never regretted buying this car.

Can't Believe I Still Have It!

As the single owner of a '94 purchased 9/94, I can't believe I still have it. It is still plugging away, although I have had some major issues with it over the years. Oil leak, transmission, and the engine light that stayed on for 2 years and WASN'T the O2 sensor! (they kept telling me it was and changed it twice). I will agree strongly that the seats that are rotting, the liner where my hands have been (by window) is rotting, and the red is horrible! It's been painted twice and is now fading again. The trunk is massive (hauled a dining room set in 3 trips). It does idle rough, but could probably use a tuneup. But I have loved this car for 12 years. Need a new one and don't know what to get now.

I had bought this car from my sister. This car was my first car that I owned after getting my license and for the first year of driving it, I didn't have any problems. Whenever I wanted it to pick up and go it would go. But after I had owned it about a year and a half, things started going wrong. First of all, the car is made of cheap plastic. The side pannels are only being held on by cheap plastic screws. The upholstry is thin and rips easily. I had to replace all four tires($75 a piece), the water pump twice($150), the battery(which was only a year old), the catylitc converter($100), the radiator($125), and a few other things.
