Faulty Convirtible Top

I special ordered a 2023 Ecoboost Premium in Mischevious Purple. The top on my BRAND NEW car is faulty. It goes down fine, but when it comes back up, it will not latch. The top stops short about two inches from the frame. I found out that Ford knew that this is an issue with the tops on this model, but continued to sell them. I have taken the car back to the dealership, but I was told that the engineers at Ford do not intend to begin to attempt to find a solution and fix for the problem until the SECOND QUARTER of this year. In the meantime, I cannot use my car as intended;to ride around with the top down. The car NEVER should have left Flat Rock in this condition!!!! I am extremely disappointed. I waited 4 months for my car only to get it with a faulty top. I am so disappointed with Ford and the lack of quality in their vehicles!! They have until June 30 to fix my car. If the top is not repaired by then, I will have no choice but to invoke my state's Lemon Law and return the vehicle to the dealership.

Between my hubby & I our recent purchase of our 2023 GT Premium, this is our 8th REAL Mustang (excluding our Mach E purchase of 6 months) My first Mustang was a '64.5 when I discharged from the Army; his first was a '67 before entering the Navy We've shared the 2014 through the current GT Premium; the Mach E is a SUV, not really "a Mustang"! His '05 was a GT but our GT has all the bells & whistles which enhances the driving experience Our 2 1/2 yr old fur baby thinks she's a "Queen" when she is taken for a ride in her GT Premium; definitely recommend this model for a "real Mustang experience" The more we drive it, the happier we are.
