This car is awesome has plenty of power and torque and the ride is pretty good for having a stiffer suspension and car handles very well, but the fuel economy is not so great.

I have had this 2017 Ford Fusion for two and a half years, only had two issues,it had one faulty wiper motor when it came from the company, recall on steering wheel,no battery drain problems, excellent gas mileage, stays around 35 to 40 miles per imp, gallon (7 to 8 litre per 100 KM) the higher amount is in winter when I use the remote start most every day.The tech package comes with a lot of easy to use audio and voice activated additions.Excellent ride and handling..Disappointed to see that this car going to be discontinued.

My Second Ford Fusion Even Better

Ok here's the deal, It's unbelievably fast for the 2.0 twin-turbo. 145 ponies that are coupled with a transmission begging to get off the line quickly and make the case it "must be an eight"...Oh sure it must...It has dual exhaust!....But no, it's just 2.0 and fast to 60mph. No worries about comfort either, my seats are heated and the driver's seat has lumbar support. Leather seating is well stitched and the console from front to back is stellar! A bit pricey with all the options, but worth it. The cup holders have spring loaded cams to keep the cups from getting jostled around. There is a great storage compartment in the front of the console for cds or a Kindle or wallet. The plethora of usb and lighter ports come in handy. The visor is now my garage door opener too. Actually there are too many great things about this car....With one glaring glitch. I am not tall so it doesn't bother me so much, but if you are tall expect to bang your head into the roof a few times getting in if you aren't careful. I love the seats tho'....When you shut off the engine and open the door your seat moves backwards and down making it easy to get out of the car. When you get in and start the car, the seat will go back to where you left it if you program one of two options in to it's memory.. The cockpit (really that's what it feels like) it fully designed to get to everything (once you learn where everything is) with just a small reach or touch of a button on the steering wheel. The remote keyless entry is a snap. The gear selector takes a little bit of getting use to. I have always driven with my right hand on the shifter. I grew up driving 4 speed sports cars in the 70 and then console automatics from then on. With the knob, no place to put your hand so it goes back on the steering wheel. The wheels and tires make the ride a little more like a sports car, you can feel the bumps in the road more with the "thin" tires. Give me the old fat and flexible BF Goodrich TA Radials! The sound system is typical of Ford....Great!! All that Bass and Treble! Adjustable steering wheel and ease of steering with one finger if you had to! The power Moon roof is great. The voice system is better with less "yelling" to get Siri's attention. Quiet, smooth and stunning. Thanks for the four cylinder with the attitude of an eight! Rick In Indy!

Great to look at, but that’s ALL.

2017 Ford Fusion Titanium 4dr Sedan AWD (2.0L 4cyl Turbo 6A)

Leased a Fusion Titanium 2.0 EcoBoost in November of 2017. One of my bigger mistakes in life. Car would go dead in two days to several weeks sitting in a conditioned garage. Dealer checked all, said nothing could be found, finally replaced battery. It then became "haunted", in which the computer would do as it pleased. Touch the window up, it goes down. Maybe it didn't do anything. Tap the horn one, two, three times - nothing. Two seconds later - BEEP! A/C fan would slow down as it got hotter outside. Touch-activated door locks quit, at times even the remote wouldn't work. Remote start didn't. Interior lighting would be uncontrollable at times. Dealer did a reprogram. which did nothing. It went wide-open-throttle on my wife one day, almost causing loss of control. Dealer finally replaced the BCM (body control module) which worked for about three months, until just recently where windows started acting up again. This car has been in the shop about 5 weeks total. City mileage isn't bad, but highway mileage is poor. Same for highway acceleration. I own a 2007 Five Hundred Limited (which I love), a bulkier, heavier car with the old 3.0 naturally-aspirated, and can get better highway mileage as well as it will blow the doors off the Fusion in acceleration. The seats are not nearly as comfortable for my larger frame as is the 500, and rear seat legroom is bad when my seat is adjusted for my comfort. There is also a lag in the AWD engagement at times, causing wheelspin until it finally makes up its feeble mind to engage other tires. It also came standard with an antifreeze leak (love that smell) and window washers that hit about 7 inches up the window. The body fitment is not nearly as nice as my 500, and there is wind noise around the two rear doors. About a week ago, with record high temps in the mid-90’s, we got in the car to pick up a grandchild. The car was parked outdoors, and very warm inside. The climate was set at 70 - as we drove, the fan went to high speed, and the interior got hotter. It was in full heat mode! I had to shut everything off, then restart, and the a/c began to cool. The Ford Sync display will randomly change without touching it, sometimes not booting for two or three miles. I get the message “Start car or turn off accessories to preserve battery” when the engine is indeed running. It is a sharp looking vehicle, But that’s all. We had a late snowfall in May and while driving at about 30 mph, got forced off the road by another vehicle. Upon re-entering the pavement, the car slid, and began a rather violent oscillation, and was very difficult to control. I have driven country roads for about 50 tears, and have slid literally miles sideways - this is one of the least-controllable cars I’ve driven. The 500? very controllable! (My wife is convinced that Ford built the 500 too well, and that's why they discontinued it, as mine is all but showroom-tight after 13 years!). The fact that this vehicle has so many issues (look them up - I'm far from alone), and that the dealer had so many issues diagnosing the problems (BCM was changed only after my insistence), and adding in the cost (this is not a $20K car!), I could NEVER recommend this car to ANYONE! I anxiously await the end of my lease. Although I've owned literally dozens of Ford cars and work vans over the last 25 years, it will be extremely difficult to consider the purchase of another. It is very apparent that Ford has lower their standards in both Quality Control and customer satisfaction, and I've worked too hard for my money to throw it away on another sub-standard vehicle such as this. Also, I am fully aware that there can be equipment that is very problematic. However, a reputable company and dealer will seek to remedy the problem. My local dealer can’t fix it, and has not taken the initiative to work with Ford to make this right, even though I have repeatedly requested. They will have no further business from me, and have deepened the tarnish that this Ford has on my decision on future purchases. UPDATE: The lease expired in October 2020 - a happy day for me. Very glad to see it gone. We cleaned the car end-to-end before turning it in. They then proceeded to charge me $75 for a “tear” in the leather seat. When I questioned it, they sent pics. The stitching on the seat welt on the side had let go - another Ford quality part. Again, my biggest issue was my local dealer, Butler County Ford, who promised me several times that they would contact Ford, but never did. They were all nice folks but didn’t deliver. The issues were intermittent and random, but annoying at the least and compromising safety at the most. Glad to see it gone!
