Fusion Sport = Bargain S4
I bought this car new in 2017 for $34K with the 400A option package. Since then I've only had it in the shop for two repairs: early on for an oil pan leak and later for power windows reprogram when they wouldn't go up and stay closed when previously only opened 2" or so. Now, 45K miles later, I still love this car! I was truly saddened by the news that Ford discontinued the Fusion and especially the Sport! Fuel Economy: I drive this car like I stole it, yet I average 21 mpg. I only use ethanol-free fuel...not Premium as Edmunds indicates as "Required". Handling: A comfortable ride when driven gently and then firm and responsive when pushed and in "Sport" mode. The car has more cargo room than all its competitors. Cost to own is much lower than Edmunds reports and than its competitors. Bottom Line: When it comes time to replace this car...I'm not sure what I'm going to do. Funny Story: Ford dealers keep sending me "Time to Upgrade" notices that offer me about $10K for the car (local retail is $23K+) and offering to "upgrade" me to an Escape! LOL I guess the marketing folks are clueless on the differences between sports sedans and compact SUVs! I guess I should have guessed that from a company that slapped a pony-car name on an electric crossover. So sad...

A Kentucky Blue
When my wife and I walked into the dealership showroom, this 2017 shiny blue Fusion was setting there and my wife said "That's my car, same color as UK Basketball" and "My name is all over this car" We bought it right on the spot, got a great price. The car handles beautifully, even better than the bigger sedans. Very reliable, plenty of power with EcoBoost Motor and gas mileage is fantastic. Would recommend the Fusion to anyone who wants a mid size sedan!

Beautiful Rubi Red and Smooth
It's not too quiet but it's quiet enough while driving. It's very smooth on the road and it just makes me feel rich! The rubi red color is so Beautiful. (Update: I've had this car for 3 years now and I still get compliments on the shiny color.) love the feel of all the buttons on the steering wheel and dash. I love the big screen!

Better than average
I purchased my Ford Fusion at the end of August and have driven 9500 miles since. I drove a company provided VW Passat before making my purchase. I test drove the Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, Mazda 6, and my Fusion. I am in sales so each of my cars over the past 21 years have been fleet vehicles. Personally my wife drives a Toyota Highlander. During my test drives, the Ford Fusion had the most comfortable seat. I am very happy with the comfort of the seat, and power seats are standard on the SE. Each of the cars I drove in my test were 4 cylinders; my Passat was the diesel. From a acceleration point of view, the Fusion is as good as any I have driven. I need acceleration from 60 MPH to 80 MPH for passing cars and I am comfortable with the Fusion's ability to get me around. The parts of the Fusion that are average in comparison of those that I have driven are the "Sync" feature for the hands free function, and noise that is created by the design on the side of the Fusion's body. On my Toyota and VW, the connection when a call is coming in and the ability to end the call is instantaneous. The Fusion has a 3-5 second delay for each. And there has been times when the Sirius Radio gets stuck. It won't change the channel or allow me to change to standard radio. Regarding the noise created by the design, both sides of the Fusion have a groove the length of the car. It creates a sound that is similar to a ribbon being tied to an antenna that is flying tight and it creates a rippling effect. Similar to a kite flying in the wind, too. It is very annoying. If you chose to test drive one, turn the radio down and accelerate to a speed of 60 or more for period of time. I have sales colleagues who drive Fusions and love them. The overall features and handling of the Fusion are satisfactory for my long travels. I also own a 1999 Ford F150 that has been an extremely reliable second vehicle. The reliability of my F150, plus Zero % financing, influenced my decision to purchase the Fusion.

really good car
It's May 2025 and the car has 24,000 miles and is great. Bought a new set of Continental tires recently. They ride and handle excellently. This is an update to my 2017 review of this car. I've spent over $10K to make this car what it was advertised to be. Now exceptional. Sway bars, electronic controls, intercooler, down pipes, etc. Still a great car.
