Platinum Package
I chose the 2018 Fusion because of my experience with my 2011Fusion. The ride is very quiet and the performance is responsive. The interior is very comfortable and the instrument panel clear and easy to access. I give the 2018 Fusion five stars.

Performance better than claimed.
This is a good car for the money. Performance is good so far. I have done about 20000 miles in about 2 years, I would recommend this car. However Ford can improve gas mileage with some modifications and also build quality . This is a review being made after doing 10000 miles. The performance has been consistent. Sometimes the pickup is annoying. Gas mileage has been good. No issues till now.

Not the Gas Mileage Promised
The advertised gas mileage per gallon is inaccurate. I am a careful, safe driver. I do not accelerate quickly or brake suddenly. I have had the 2018 since November 2017 and have yet to achieve an average over 38 mpg.

Great mileage, low maintenance sedan
Bought my 2018 Ford Fusion Hybrid with 9,800 miles on it in July of 2019 for a bit over $18,000. Then the pandemic came along and I started working from home. Now used for around town driving and once a week 40 mile commute to my office, occasional road trips. Subsequently only have circa 25,000 miles on the car now. To get really good mileage you do need to break some old "pedal to the metal" driving habits. If you can do that, you can consistently get 50+ miles to the gallon combined city/highway during warm months of the year (I live in Buffalo, NY area); hitting 55 - 60 mpg on some office commutes. Winter mileage is closer to the advertised 41 - 43 mpg. I have noticed that the odometers do seem to overstate the mileage by about 2.3 miles per gallon. Its not as good a ride as my old 2007 Kia Amanti, but its ok for a sedan. No maintenance problems yet.

Platinum Package
The car is really awesome. Cool looking mid sedan, with good mpg (42 after 2000 miles). I bought is with 17K miles, almost new. Quiet, good on turns, package with all assisting systems just surprises every time when used. Great Audio performance and that amazing Shift Knob with self turn option when door is opened with no belt or just ignition knob off. Very happy with choice and hope to enjoy ride for the next few years. So far - just cool!
