Used 2017 Ford Focus Sedan Consumer Reviews
Focus
I bought a 2017 Ford Focuse SE brand new at the time. 4 months in I had an issue the wipers were not work8ng right. I also had transmission issues that the dealership did nothing abut. One day about I could not trade it I owed to much on the car to trade it in. One day like 5 years later. I went to drive it and the transmission gave out. I paid the car off and I went to Honda to trade it in for a civic. I had a civic before and they are good cars. Never will I get any Ford vehicles my mom had problems with every single one of them. It was such a big piece of junk! I also thought it qas lousy on fuel!

I would give a 0 buyer beware!
Boughtb2017 at 7k miles. At 9k had a transmission replaced. Since then I had 2 clutches replaced and a solenoid. Took it back at 55k and told them it was shuttering again and overheated causing the tranny to shut off until it cooled down. They told me nothing was wrong with it and that I was driving in traffic. I told them I was on an open highway and regardless It shouldn't do that. I asked him if he would buy the 17 focus for his wife or daughter and of course he avoided the question. It is 12k miles later and I woke us yesterday morning and I have no transmission. If ford had fixed it when I asked I wouldn't be broken down with a 4k bill. We had a running joke in the house by ford told us shuttering was normal because that is what manuals do.i am not sure what kind of manual transmissions they drove but I never had any do that. But our running joke was "if your car doesn't shutter and shake -yourwrong and your car is broken-. Its not so funny now that my car is junk. I have only owned it for a year and it only has 71k miles on it. They tell me it needs 2 shift clips and a new transmission case.

Made in the USA, Well mostly.
This car has a lot of recalls and I have experienced some wiring problems with the ignition switch. Which Ford does not want to fix even though it is still under warranty.

nice car with bugs
One of the rare brand new cars in my life. Took delivery on 9/6/2017.Transmission has had issues since 3000 mile mark. Told by former service writer that Ford had had issues since 2012. Clutch was replaced at 10000 mile as well as cv axles. Its starting to jerk again and have put only 2000 miles on it since it was repaired under warranty. Extended warranty would be my recommendation. Overall its a really nice car but now very hesitant to drive any distance. Will use Honda for trips
