This car goes way beyond expectations we have used this car as a get way car (toilet papering) and the stability and traction control are amazing it hugs the road great and the car goes the way you point the well unlike leading competitors such as the corOlla my focus has 87k+ miles and still running like a champ well built and economical design lacks some comodines like power seats but the handling is spurb compared to other cars in its segment

Not grandma's focus

2011 Ford Focus SES 4dr Sedan (2.0L 4cyl 5M)

Initially was looking at the Honda Fit or Toyota Yaris but once I test drove the 2011 Focus SES it was the clear winner for performance to fuel economy ratio. I was in market for commuter vehicle that would be great on gas, fit all 6' 4" and almost 300 lbs of me, and the Focus did one better by throwing in 140 HP. I love the handling and feel of the SES over all the other test drives, plus I really love all the features provided by SYNC through the great sound system.

A lot of car for a little $

2011 Ford Focus S 4dr Sedan (2.0L 4cyl 5M)

I purchased a 2010 Focus S, 5 speed manual trans. The car is comfortable, it handles securely, fuel mpg so far is averaging 29.1 mpg in a mix of driving, about 50/50 city highway, it keeps going up the more I drive it. It shifts smoothly and the engine has a nice sound when revved. For $12,894 there was nothing even close to it. Honda fit looks like a small clown car for $18- 21k, no thanks. My car seats 4 very comfortably, 5 in a pinch. The trunk is huge. Standard PL,AC,CD,traction control and stability control and keyless entry even on the base S model, all STANDARD. And best of all its American and Ford didn't take the govt extortion $. Looks great in Sangria red. I'm pleased for what I paid

I've had my focus for two years now. I bought it used with 11,000 miles on it. Now I'm at 50,000 miles and have still had no trouble. This is a car I would recommend to everyone. I did extensive research when buying my car. I narrowed my list down to the Focus, Fiesta, Nissan Versa, Hyundai Elantra and Scion XD. The Focus came at the best price, for the best reliability ratings, was the most fun to drive, and was the best looking. The Sync program isn't the most efficient system of all time, but it is a nice convenience. Occasionally it struggles, but anything electronic has it's occasional lag. This car is great, I swear by it and plan to drive it for the next ten years.

It could be because I got a bad car..

I got my car at 50,000 miles. I’m currently at 94,000. I have had so many problems with this car. I will never buy another ford. First the car has no air in the summer, then the car overheated and has no heat in the winter. I’ve gotten a new heater core (very expensive) new thermostat, and radiator flush. It’s still running hot. On top of that a few months ago I had to replace the throttle body (again very expensive) because the car kept idling like it would shut off at red lights. I had a Ford Focus previous to this 2011, I had a 2009 with that same issue. Idling issues. To make it worst I have to change the brake drums in the back after just changing the discs in the front. When I tell people my throubles I’ve had they reply “that’s a Ford for you, Ford stands for Fix Often Repeat Daily”
