very happy with my car , so far
bought my 2008 ford focus used , replaced a 200 ZX3 that was written off by insurance company . while its not a sports car it does very well in both city and highway driving . over all the car is very comfortable and quiet . the sync system is relatively easy to use but does have some weird things about it , when i use iPod connection and drive to destination and turn off car , upon restarting the sync does not recognize iPod and have to scroll through menu to get it back . sometimes refuses to reconnect . i wish there was a trunk release button in the cabin other than using just the key and the remote fob . but other than that very pleased with it .
Very Good Compact Car
Have had my 2008 Focus since 2009 and 9,000 miles. Have about 45,000 miles on it now and am very happy with the car. Provides a nice balance of a soft, quiet ride, and decent handling. I get about 29 mpg on my commute in heavy city driving. On highway trips, have gotten as good as 45 mpg. Sync system is easy to use and links my phone and iPod without problems. Trunk is very good size for a compact car with a nice, wide opening. Would definitely recommend.
Problems
I traded in my focus for a Toyota Rav4 this weekend, because I can't take a chance on the transmission again. It was overhauled 2 times already by ford, and they never considered putting a new transmission in the car. It is starting to slip again, and so the time came to trade it in. I loved the car with the sync. and other features. Ford has to work on all the transmission problems with all its vehicles.
Great car! Highly recommend!!
This car is great. I have owned it for about 2 years now and it was used before I purchased it. First off, it has been nothing but reliable for me! I have had nothing go wrong with it yet and just keep up on oil changes, etc. Also, I live in Wisconsin and we have really harsh winters. When it was -50 degrees with wind-chill and no one's car was starting, mine did everytime I had to leave home and it got me to work. When eveyone else's cars were getting stuck in the snowstorm we just got (over a foot of snow), mine kept going even though it's small. Other than it's reliability, it gets great gas mileage, has features like a great sound system, comfortable, etc. Overall, this is a really great car and I would absolutely recommend it! 100%!

Great little commuter car
Reliable, functional, body styling not bad. Some plastic pieces have become brittle / broken over the years, but car seems like it will run forever w/out expensive upkeep.
