Pretty good buy
I like my Focus Hatchback. It's compact, so it's great for fitting in small places and such. However, I keep hearing a noise associated with the brake/transmission that I can't figure out. I took it in to the dealership and they fixed another noise (which was the backseat latch needing oil). This other noise worries me, though. Otherwise, I cannot complain. The A/C's great. The sound's pretty nice and I like the speaker set up. And, it drives smoothly. I would recommend it for a first time car-buyer.
Would Buy Again
I have been pleased with both performance and reliability of this car, especially the gas mileage. My job requires a lot of driving so comfort is a big plus. The seating height is also appreciated compared to other compacts I have been in.

Good yet bad
I got this car in 2016 when it had about 132k miles on it. In the following years the only thing I had to do on it was change the oil, new whippers, change a bulb or two and new tires. The major-ish problem I had was the alternator stopped working and there was a pretty loud rattling coming from the engine, which turned out to be a messed up water pump. Those were all kinda minor problems. The major problem I have as of right now is that the engine will stall out once in a while while diving at low speeds. It is definitely something wrong internally with the engine. Other than the junk alternator, water pump, and engine the car is very comfy and fun the drive on back roads. 10/10 very fun first car.
