Used 2007 Ford F-350 Super Duty Consumer Reviews
2006 XLT F350 DUALLY V-10
I purchased my 2006 F350 XLT dually in July 2005. I ordered from Ford. It was delivered with the exact equipment I ordered. Beautiful truck, rides like a luxury car with or without load. I put a matching Leer cap on long bed. Truck is striking. Have towed 12,000 pound loads many times, it has hands down the best braking system of any tow vehicle period. System controls trailer brakes automatically with the same braking force applied to truck brakes. It's amazing! V-10 is awesome, but install a K&N hi flow air filter immediately, stock filter does not let the engine breath. Many people want a diesel, but the v-10 is a mighty engine with same 5 speed auto, that costs $7,000 less.
Best truck built tough
Although my 2003 was great, the 2006 is even better! Being a King Ranch, the interior couldn't be better and this one has the moonroof as well. The overall build quality is better and the improved steering and brake system are impressive. The 6.0 liter Navistar diesel is even quieter with out the heavy hood insulation from '03 and the power can't be beat with the 5 speed torqueshift. This one turns less RPM at the same speeds with the only difference being 18" tires which should afford even better mileage than before. I averaged 19 with my old one which for the weight, mass, and power is fine with me. The improved message center is as accurate as it is detailed. The GVRW is 11720 and nimble.

Mixed Thoughts
I purchased this truck thinking that I was getting a much improved version of my two past diesels, but got a surprise instead. Had a '99 & '03 SD diesels and got 19 & 23 hwy, 16 & 21 city, 17 & 21 towing a 10k# trailered boat. The new F-350 got only 14 hwy and 12 city avg. The worst I got was 8mpg on three different occasions city going up/down hills. Powerwise, it's equal to the '03 and way better than the 7.3 '99 model but the '99 doesn't sound so busy under the hood. The quieter diesel is appreciated by the neighbors around me! The ride is a lot more harsh than the other two trucks and aftermarket tire/wheel combos are limited and pricey due to the 18" minimum requirement. Overall a good truck.
Still built Ford Tough
I replaced a 2003 F350 Crew Cab DRW LB 4x2 XLT Lariat with all the bells and whistles. Mileage is about the same as with the '03 7.3L diesel but the 6.0L has more torque and is noticeably quieter. Through 12,000 miles already and no problems to report. My spouse absolutely loves to drive my truck when I'm not using it, which is most of the time though. We are still using the '03 and it has 370,000 miles and still not using oil between changes and plenty of power! Just confirms my opinion that Ford really does build tough trucks.
Love my truck
This is a great truck and I love it! Only one issue and that was taken care of under warranty. The usual EGR cooler issue. I love the ride of this truck and the power and torque are amazing. Looking forward to my purchase of a toy hauler cuz I know this truck is gonna enjoy the load.
