Shockingly good MPG
HO diesel, my 7th Superduty. Hay/cattle ranch so it gets worked. Really liking this rig. Only big gripe is the upper seat king ranch “saddle pad look,” seam is right across my shoulder blades and a full day in the seat gets irritating. Second is I wish it had an eco mode to dial it down which is crazy to even think on a truck. My fun commuter is a 2023 X5M Competition and I traded an always-in-the-shop C8 Corvette in on this truck so it’s with a grain of salt I say it has too much power. 1/3 acceleration and when the turbo still spools up to 34 PSI hit a bump and the tires skip at highway speed. Oh well. Towed ~8k 22ft box trailer 300 miles and averaged 12.3MPG at 75MPH, drove from TX to WI with a ton in the bed and averaged 22.2MPG running the speed limit for 1,836 miles. 3 fill ups across country and back and room to spare. My 2017 F350 DRW King Ranch lives at 10-13MPG empty, loaded or towing. Very impressed. The Chevy dealer, which I knew well from that corvette nightmare gave me a new GMC 3500 for a loaner for awhile. Honestly that truck rode better than this but my 3/4 ton has a higher tow rating than their 1-ton and it feels much better (as in don’t notice the trailer), towing so if you hook up a lot stick with the Ford but if you just need a bed I wouldn’t knock the $15k cheaper GMC AT4. Trucks have come a long way from my first 1989 model. The fact they now cost as much as an S class S-ucks though.

"Hate this truck" is a compliment to it
Good: Nice seats. Ample towing power. Convenient bed steps. Automatic tailgate. Very pretty. Bad: How do I hate thee? Let me count the ways.... There are so many "safety" items on this rolling computer, that it is dangerous. Annoying "safety" distractions. Huge side mirrors that can block an entire vehicle. Considerable power delay when you floor it. Automatic extending/retracting side steps that can bash your shins. NO paper owner's manual book, unless you print a copy online. God help you if the battery is dead. I stupidly traded a 2014 King Ranch diesel for this monster.

A pickup truck is our limousine
I haven’t found anything that I don’t like about the truck. It rides nice and toes my RV with ease. I can be doing 65 miles an hour with my 30 foot RV attached and get slowed down by another vehicle on a hill and then within seconds, be back up at 65.
F250 XL Crew
We had the truck built for us and had to take it back to the dealership because it was overheating with all the fluids, the tale gate would not open, the rubber flooring that is in the cab come off the floor, and all the outlets for usb and electrical would not work. It only has 91 Miles on it now. The dealer ship has been GREAT. They can not fix all the problems on the truck :(.
