I received my 2020 F250 Lariat loaded with a tremor package in November of 2020. The truck was purchased to haul my 15,000 lb dump trailer, as well as my 24ft long tool trailer. When it comes to towing, the truck is an absolute beast. However, this brings me to the first and most persistent problem. At about 6 months and 16,000 miles, the screen on the dashboard started displaying "trailer disconnected" messages as I was towing each one of my trailers. I looked in my mirrors to find the running lights on the trailer were off. I proceeded to merge over to the shoulder, thinking the plug had loosened. Once on the shoulder, I pulled out the plug and put it back. The lights came back on. However, it continued happening with all my trailers, as well as a motorcycle that was rented for a trip. Since the problem started, it has been to dealer service 7 times. During those 7 trips they told me the plugs on the trailers should be replaced (one was a 2020). I replaced both at a cost of $480 each. They told me that this was happening because I was using spacers on the trailer receiver, to accommodate the 2 1/2" neck on my hitch that was causing a bad ground. Next I spent another $200 on a 3" trailer hitch and new ball. In the 7 plus trips, they have replaced the female end of the plug twice, they have replaced the trailer module, and they have updated the trailer system twice (whatever that means). The transmission has problems shifting once it comes out of trailer mode. It has long, drawn out downshifts as if it's still in trailer mode. It takes several run cycles for the shifts to return to the normal shifting. The infotainment screen in the center console has been replaced once and now some of the doors aren't locking with the key fab or the buttons on both the doors. I also have a faint smell of wires burning. It clearly has electrical issues and the dealer is unwilling or unable to solve the problem. There has also been a host of other minor problems such as headlights that take in water when it rains (acceptable levels according to the dealer), Bed lights that suffer from the same problem but are allowed to be replaced under warranty, headrests that the leather fell off of. Currently the vehicle has 2 open recalls however due to supply shortages they are unable to service them at this time.

Death wobble at 12,000 miles

I bought my 2019 F250 new, and I experienced the death wobble at 12,000 miles. I was doing 60 miles per hour and went over a small bump in the freeway. The truck started shaking so violently I could not steer it. The truck shot across 2 lanes of traffic and went down into the grass median. Thank goodness there was nobody in those lanes. It did not stop shaking until I was almost stopped. The vehicle behind me pulled over to see if I was ok. He said the truck was shaking so bad that the right rear wheel was bouncing off the pavement into the air, and the truck was twisting like a pretzel between the bed and cab. The dealer fixed it under the warranty. They had to completely rebuild the front end. It would have been a $9000 bill if it had been out of warranty. The mechanic told me to get rid of it because there is no telling what parts in the diesel engine were loosened up or weakened by all that shaking. I'm lucky to have escaped the experience without wrecking the truck.

Just traded my f250 2019 for a 2020 f250 both diesels and the 2020 has a 10 speed transmission wich gives a better mpg and makes this truck incredible crazy fast,oh man this truck feel like a race car,i like all the tech and sensors it has(XLT). The rear camera is better with a bigger display screen,I LOVE THIS TRUCK!!! Just keep an eye on the speedometer because you go from 0 to 90mph in no time, the cab is very quiet you don't hear any outside noise at all.

Great, reliable truck. Long bed makes it easy to carry about anything. Xl base model came without power locks or power windows. I would get those options next time.
