I regret keeping my Honda Odyssey so long when I could have had my ford F150 XLT earlier. Th 2.7 v6 turbo give me 24 mpg at 65 mph and 22 mpg at 75 mph. The seats with heat and power lumbar are like riding first class. Nothing but smiles from this former Honda owner.

2010 Supercrew FX4 to 2018👍

I loved my 2010 FX4 4x4 Supercrew 5.4. It ran great (still running) and it was worked all it’s life pulling boats, Sled’s etc. I couldn’t believe how good the truck held up being over loaded often. It is a northern truck so the dreaded salt rust was showing its age. I was kind of sad to trade it in on a new 2018 FX4 Lariat Supercrew with a 3.5. Then I had the new truck and put it though the same torture tests and Wow it performs great. I was considering a 3/4 ton but with the tow max package I am 110% happy with my discussion. If you are a real truck guy then spend the money and get an F150. If you are a car type guy then maybe these are not the truck for you. Nice job Ford

F-150 3.5L V6 vs. Ram 1500 Ecodiesel V6

Totaled a '16 Ram Ecodiesel and none of the airbags deployed. I decided to replace it with a 5-star safety rated F-150. The 4-corner coil spring Ram rode and handled like a dream. The Rams fuel economy averaged 24 mpg. The F-150 rides a little rougher but I also have the maximum towing package. I love the power Super Duty style mirrors. Both the hp and torque of the Ford's 3.5L V6 exceed the Ram's V6 diesel. The maximum towing of the Ford is >13,000 lb. while the Ram's was around 10,000 lb. The 10-speed transmission shifts flawlessly but so did the Ram's 8-speed. With the price of gasoline so much lower than diesel, the $/mile of the gas engine make sense. I will say the Ram's UConnect system is superior to Ford's Sync. Overall, I really like the F-150. One more thing - the way the aluminum body is assembled, it is tight and very quiet. Looking forward to no rust too! One last thing; why can't any of the pickup manufacturers make a box that, when equipped with a high quality tonneau cover, is at least somewhat dust proof? Living on a gravel road, I end up with a half inch of dust after only a few days. After installing a tailgate seal and caulking around the box seams, it still sucks the dust in although not nearly as bad.

The more I drive this truck, the more flaws I'm finding. Now that the weather has turned cooler, enough to run the heat in the morning. The truck takes way too long to warm up. I can let it idle for 5 minutes before driving to work and still not have heat after a 10 mile drive. The idle when the truck is cold, is way to high. If you should have to get in and drive immediately after starting be prepared for it to take off on you. When I say cooler weather I'm only talking about the mid 40s. The auto start/stop feature is a real pain and offers no fuel savings at all. To me its only causing the truck to start a few million more times then it needs to, talk about wear and tear. Being a Ford guy, I personally think Ford is way behind the competition on standard features. After the negatives, I will say this. I still love this truck. I love that I can beat my buddy off the line with a 2.7L twin turbo compared to his Tundra with the V-8. Since I decided on a lease, I'm looking forward to seeing what Ford does with the Bronco in 2020.

Most Comfortable Truck I have Owned.

Most comfortable truck I have ever owned, my only complaint is the "Auto Engine OFF " at a stop light or while you are stopped in traffic, there is no way to permanently turn of this feature.
