all f 150 lug nuts are caps and after tire rotation they get damaged and the socket wont fit the lug . Ford needs to change to solid lug nuts not hollow caps pressed on . You could be in big trouble if you get a flat and dont know the lug capped was damaged at your last tire rotation , your stuck call a tow truck. Also when left out over night my starter sticks only when cold start in morning . Dealer looking into cause . Also two recalls door latches and seat belt fires dealer will repair . Other than that great tuck. Ford replaced the starter. Ford replaced the door latches . Ford lug nuts are still a issue and I am surprised you have not heard more about this problem . Up date on ford lug nuts . Just had to have them replaced on 11- 29-19 all 24 were junk it cost me 260 bucks . the law suit on lug nuts was thrown out by a judge in Detroit . Go figure do not buy a Ford f 150 until they fix this problem because you will get stranded with a spare tire and a lug wrench because of hollow caps on lug nuts . what a scam.

Have had XLT SuperCrew 2.7 Sport 5.5 10a 302a 4x2 several months now. Would buy again. Can see why it is so popular. Not flawless, but very, very good. Moved up from 2015 Nissan Frontier to the F150. Frontier was a good vehicle, but the kids are growing and it became too small. Pros. 2.7 Ecoboost is the real deal. Eco, about 20 combined in mainly heavy big city driving. Saw 22 on a regular basis in cooler months without AC running. Saw 26 on a longer highway trip. Boost, made a short trip towing a 3500lb small Travel Trailer, 400-500lb of gear and 4 people. Towed easily in Tow/Haul mode. Got 12mpg. 3.15 rear end. It ran up to 8th gear tops. Would not hesitate to tow a heavier trailer with the 2.7. I would think it would do fine with 5000-7000 lbs. Ran in Sport Mode once, very quick onto an onramp into highway traffic. Pro, Sync 3 system is a very good design. Pro, comfortable seats and lots of legroom. Cons, have to nitpick to really find much, I would like a better quality feel to the tailgate release, feels a bit cheap. Maybe an occasional rattle from dash or door panels. The Frontier never rattled in the 3 years I had it. I added some accessories. Spray-In bedliner (a must), tailgate cartridge that allows easy controlled down (a must). Tray style rubber mats (a must). Added bed extender (nice), hood protector (nice), Ford Kicker subwoofer (nice punch at higher volumes, but adds little at lower volumes, not sure I'd buy it again). To sum up, if it holds up well, it will be well worth it. The 2.7 engine combined with the 10a are great. They have met or exceeded my expectations so far. Very good truck. 7 months later, all continues to hold true, 2.7 engine is the real deal. 10 speed auto is very smooth. Mileage and power. Sync infotainment system excellent. Very few drawbacks. A few rattles from the dash on occasion and the driver’s seat fabric may be showing a little more wear than I would expect. Glovebox seems very cheap. Buttons on dash could be a bit larger.

As others have noted, Edmonds choices for my truck don’t exist. I have the 3.5 turbo with the short bed. Had the truck three weeks and then the “wonderful” 10 speed transmission wouldn’t shift. Trucks been in the shop for over a week and still not back to me. Not even a month with my truck and here we go. Supposedly a sensor, but its taken over a week to get it fixed? Horrible. All the looks and hype of the technology is meaningless if it doesn’t run. Wish a new model Tundra was an option....

I have owned a four pickups and a couple of Jeeps in my life, nothing comes close to the capabilities off road of this Raptor. Sure footed in the deep sugar sands or tearing down old logging roads at 50MPH, this truck has great off road capabilities and manners. When you get back on the highway, you are in a for a quiet and comfortable ride, Ford Performance did an amazing job with the ride quality and not compromising the on or off road feel. As for power, the TT3.5 has plenty of power to move this truck with no problem. The 10 speed took some getting used to but it has been a very smooth transmission in its shifting. I no longer slow down coming to train crossings....I just send it. Sure it does not sound like the 6.2 v8, but when you are running down trails like a bat out of hell, who cares. 36k trouble free miles now and still an absolute blast to drive. 11 months later and 12k miles, still awesome, no issues 22 months later and 25k miles, still awesome, no issues and lots of mud... 33 months later and 43k miles, still awesome, no issues and still off roading whenever I can... 56k miles, still awesome 64k miles, still awesome, no issues My best vehicle purchase ever. 78k miles, still going strong 83k miles ....still great 93k still awesome

Excellent Truck - Advertised EPA MPG?

Joel, 06/30/2018
2018 Ford F-150 XL 4dr SuperCab 4WD 8 ft. LB (5.0L 8cyl 10A)

Ive had my new 2018 Supercab XLT F150 now for about a month and a half - 1500 miles into the break in and i’ve been testing the advertised MPG, 19 city / 23 highway. The vehicle is a 5.0 V-8, 2WD, with max tow package. This truck has the 36 gal fuel tank (extra weight), i’m 215 lbs (more extra weight, they’re tested with 150lb person), super cab, 3.55 gears, and 20” wheels (I imagine they test them with smaller wheels/cab for weight reduction.) My real world numbers: Highway, loaded empty, sea level with flat roads, cruise control, 60-68 mph, round trip is 130 miles for this test and it’s been done 3 times: 20.5 mpg —- City/Combined mix driving.. this includes towing a 3000 lb boat, stop and go traffic, and a little bit of highway: 15 -16 mpg. There’s a lot of extras on this truck, 20” wheels, 3.55 gears, etc so all of that picks away at the advertised EPA. Other than that, I love the truck and I enjoy driving it. Lots of power, espically for towing, and very comfortable ride.
