Love me an F-150
I've had the truck for a while now, it's the 5.0 Coyote and it's got 178,000 miles on it and never left me stranded. I've had zero issues with this truck except a bad battery at 167,000 miles. Replaced the battery and no issues since. Got it custom tuned and abuse it daily and she runs and runs. I'd definitely recommend these trucks to anybody. If you're going to be towing all the time the 3.5 will handle it better, but for daily driving I prefer the 5.0. Especially it you got an aftermarket exhaust.

5.0 Platinum is the way to go
Bought my 2012 Platinum 5.0 V8 2 wheel drive in 2015 (and I’m still driving it daily today). Bought it with 124,000 miles and as of 1/4/21 I have 264,000 miles on it. Pros- more options on this truck then most Cadillac’s and all of the options are still functioning as they did in 2012 with the exception of 1 power running board as of this review. With regular maintenance I have had no big repairs other then normal wear and tear (tires, brakes, hoses and ironically 3 batteries). I am currently replacing the front hubs. Cons - The truck had a ticking sound coming from the motor since purchase, still does today. The transmission has been re programmed due to a recall and still has the same problem. You cannot update the Navagation after 2017 and parts for the power deployment running boards are not available, but you can replace the whole side for $1300.00. I strongly recommend yearly maintenance on the power running boards specifically lubricating all of the brackets. The truck still averages 18 miles per gallon city/hwy with premium fuel, full synthetic oil and I use the recommended antifreeze. I have owned a lot of Ford vehicles and this one is by far the best one. I’ve enjoyed this Ford so much, I have purchased stock in the company. The only complaint I have is that my truck is not in the drop down box under “model” for this review.

Best truck I've ever owned
Bought this truck with 11 miles on it. No major problems aside from a leaky coolant line. With going over 125k miles, I have only had to replace the battery once, no change in spark plugs/motor mounts/belts/or anything else that causes those headaches. Very durable, always dependable.
