I think that the 5.4 XLT is great
value. So far so good with reliability.
(knock on wood).I got all the E.B.
features on mine with the running
boards,fog lights leather, third row
ect. Gas isn't the best but it is a big
suv and gas prices are high.I heard if
u remove third row seat you could save
a mile per gallon. So far i am happy
with my expo.It runs very strong.
5.4 liter engine runs very strong and
fast compared to 4.6 liter
engine.leather seats.great prices for
used ford suv's compared to other

I purchased my 1999 Expedition for my
wife who wanted a larger vehicle for
safety reasons. After owning the
vehicle for 3 months the transmission
went out. $2600 later were back on the
road. 15 months later the transmission
went out again. A freind has a 1999

always work when you first start the
This truck was purchased used with
56K, now has 62K and everything is
starting to go wrong with it! Head
gasket is now leaking oil ($1500
repair). Heated seats have been
replaced already ($370 each), rear
door molding is defective, wiper/turn
signal switch defective-wipers go on
whenever they want to, Gas mileage is
VERY POOR for this vehicle! We are now
getting rid of this and going with a
Japanese SUV, hope you do to! Don't
waste your time on this car if you
dont like going back to the dealer
every 3 months.
Nice roomy interior, many options
Needs better gas mileage and Ford
