I just got this car a few days ago with about 94k miles. Drove it it out of state and back with no problems. It's very fast and has a fast take-off. Amazing handling on the interstate. Before this I was driving my aunts 2009 escape and i'm surprised that mine is faster! They're both V6's. So far I haven't had any issues and I hope to keep it that way.

I really love driving my 2007 Ford Escape since we got it in 2009. Never have any major problems except the rear lights fogging up but we got it fixed, and there's minor noise(squeeking) or vibration while driving. But overall, it is a very reliable, affordable, safe to drive and very decent quality car to buy. It has a very low mileage when we got it and found out it used to be a rental car.

Sloppy Transmission

Blazing Copper: Great looking vehicle, good ergonomics except the arm rest/center console and cup holders. My wife cannot use because it is too far back. Gas mileage not as good as sticker suggests, about 19-22 with 50/50 highway/city driving. Transmission can sometimes jerk into gear. Also when needing to merge on freeway it's like breaking then jerking into gear. Need to work on that. It is as if the vehicle has trouble deciding which gear it wants. Handling is great, tight turning radius, easy to park and lots of room.

This is a company fleet vehicle that has that restored my faith in Ford (my 98' Contour had soooo many problems). It does everything well and has only required scheduled maintenence for 87K miles. Great ride for a truck, tight turning radius, great room and function in a compact package that JUST WORKS without having to think about it. I will be buying this one rather than turning it back in. I just can't let go of a good one.

Meets a lot of my needs except gas miles

I bought a 2007 program car. It was in great shape with very, very low miles. It rides like a small truck, handles like a small truck, and has room like a small truck. Unfortunately, it has the gas mileage of a small truck too. It's a real shocker coming out of a Camry. What I like about it is that it plows through modest amounts of snow with no hesitation. The ride is a little loud but the stereo has a feature that compensates for the ride noise level as you speed up and slow down, pretty cool. I like the features but I wish the ride were quieter and the gas mileage was better.
