Major electronic problems

My car was fine for the first 6 months and I loved it then an alarm would start going off randomly without reason. This lasted for weeks going back and forth to the dealership 7 times. Then the car would startup on its own on electric mode but the last time the gas engine started up in the garage! The dealership took it back.

So far so good

With our commutes (Hayward-Oakland and Oakland-South San Francisco), we can get by on electric only. Same for errands. This is ideal. We have not taken a long trip yet where we will need to use gas but it is nice to have that option. We like the safety options and the way it drives. We like the charge info on the Ford Ap and also the front panel--which is more useful than our all-electric Nissan leaf. The front seats are comfortable and we mostly fold down the back seats so that we have room for garden supplies, etc.

What electric range?

I THOUGHT I Liked this Escape hybrid Plug-in, but the electric range is terrible, with a full charge I'm only getting 16.7 miles and it seems like everything I charge it gets worse, Ford says that's how it works, I've been driving Ford s for a very long time ,they don't seem to care that their vehicles don't work properly, any more. They had our brand new escape hybrid Plug-in for 2weeks and they did nothing ,they gave it back to me told me it was fully charged, but just another lie it was still at 25% that was on it when I dropped it off, so my opinion is Ford doesn't really care, so I will never buy anything from them again because they don't seem to care. I was told by the dealership that it was my problem, they don't help with, Ford vehicles they just sell them. Don't trust Msa Ford Abbotsford they Lie about everything

Front flapping noise

Unfortunately great car with many issues. Upon delivery, few aesthetic issues with the vehicle but more frustrating a constant flapping noise in the front of the vehicle when driving on highway. Ford couldn’t find the source of the problem and this after the vehicle in garage for 3 weeks.

Titanium Ford Escape Plug-In Hybrid SUV

Battery charging time may be longer than other cars and battery alone driving distance is relatively short. Availability of a trailer hitch is a plus, as is the spedominator image on the front window.
