Best Van

This has been our best vehicle. We have owned it for 12 years now hauling lots of kids, drywalling, etc. We have quad seating and added a 2nd bench so that we can carry 10-11 people. This van worked great for vacations-lots of room. I have loved sitting up high and used it to teach my children to drive! We do tend to go through brake pads every 30K. The air still runs cold! No major repairs! Only had to replace the idle arm, battery and tires. I will be sad when we replace the "Vanmobile".

Coolant leaks along with rebuilt engine at 42,000(Yes,I did have the extended warranty, it is a Ford!) Van is slightly underpowered but works for around town driving. Interior has large cargo space and removalable seats make it very flexable.

We have used the vehicle primarily for family vacations, which involve camping, skiing, kayaking, and hiking. We did get the non-slip differential which was very helpful in winter conditions. The fuel "economy' leaves something to be desired. For the size it handles quite well on the highway and is fairly quiet. We have had on cylinder head replaced, but we do drive the 5.4L hard and do tend to load the vehicle down with camping or skiing gear for as many as 7.

This vehicle provided many reliable years of service and was our workhorse. Was better than I expected. Would recommend it to anyone. Mileage was better than expected.
