Energi - love it!

So happy with my Ford C-Max Energi Plug-in-.In Hybrid. It’s well-appointed, fun to drive, sporty yet comfortable and fuel efficient. In short - the perfect commuter car. My only issue is with the limited cargo storage...no good place for the dogs and their paraphernalia, so I bought them harnesses that attach to the seatbelts and covered the rear leather seats with a sturdy (dog-friendly) fabric, and now they ride in the back seat instead of the cargo/back area.

Headlights burn out

If you want a car that will last, don't buy this one. I had to replace what I thought was a head light bulb, but turned into an headlight assembly, burned out and cost well over $600.00. I had to replace my battery-not the hybrid over 200.00. I purchased an extend warranty but that didn't cover it, burned out headlight assembly that actually showed it burned, which might have been a problem if it caught fire. I leased it and later decided to purchase it, boy was I upside down. I use it to commute for the carpool stickers and it doesn't hold it's value much, so if you only drive around town, good, but get any mileage over 15,000 a year, this is not the car for you, get a Toyota Prius, it will last and also hold value, I have one of these too. Beware because Ford doesn't stand by their car or parts.

C - not quite - Max

I experienced problems with the electrical system early on. I think the problem was primarily the dealership. The sales people and the management seemed to care but the car had to be towed because some of the technicians failed to make proper electrical connections. This happened twice and the second time they delivered the car to me without reassembling the hybrid battery compartment!! FMC did ride to the rescue and made some commercial accommodation that has worked for me.
