Strong and safe!
I actually bought a 1988 model new, and I loved it! I had to get rid of it, and I was so sad to let it go. I then had a chance to buy a 1990 used for $500 in 2006, and I jumped on it! It was rough, loud and BIG. I loved that! Saved my life in a head on with a concrete median on a rain slicked road. It took a beating and was done, but a NEWER SUV, well, I doubt if I could have walked away! I miss those steel giants!
AS AMERICAN AS CAN!
We had 1990 with 5.9 L HEMI & full-time 4x4. It was loud quick and a bit jumpy. ride was great. we put trouble free 145K mile on it and trade in for new Dakota. which I liked a lot as well! BUT BEWARE! these old RamChargers can be extremely dangerous(unstable) in gravel over 50miles/hr.

Red Ramcharger
I've had my RC for only a short time but boy is it great fun. Aesthetically pleasing, great response on the throttle. Can be wishy washy on the highway but stays real square. She eats my lunch on fuel economy but is worth the miles. My rear hatch is a pain to get open and shut and have talked to other owners who have the same issue, various year models. The stock 318 4 speed automatic runs like a charm. It can be a pain to install new door speakers. A little loud in the cab on the highway.
Not for sale!
I was looking to buy a Bronco i Jun of '91.My 12 year old saw The Ramchargers as we passed by and said "let's buy one of those".I stopped to look but I still wanted a Bronco...My son talked me into The Ramcharger that I have enjoyed driving now for 18 years. The odometer stopped in 1999 and it shows 200,000 mi.I know it has more than 400,000 actual miles with NO major problems, only maintenence.I've had several vehichles during that time and own a Tahoe now but I like my Ramcharger better han all of them.I love it as much as the day my son {who is 31} picked it out.
The Beast
I got this as my first vehicle when I turned 16, and I love it. 4x4 is great in the snow here in PA. When Grandma was sick last winter, the whole family got in and went to check on her. Gas mileage is way better than most sources say. Everything I've read says around 10/14 mpg but I get about 15/20. Not great mileage, but better than a lot of vehicles out there. Rented a trailer and towed my brother's Toyota back from Virginia with it once. Wouldn't trade it for the world.
BIG and MENACING!
I bought this truck after seeing it featured in "No country for old men". What a beast this truck is! Because of the fuel economy I only drive it when I've got a truck-related job, but it gets the job done and is totally imposing doing it. Yeah, it gets about 10-12 mpg but new V8 trucks only get around 3-5mpg better. Worth shelling out $25K+ for? No. Plus my car payment is ZERO so who cares?!?! Like the above poster, I love parking next to those shiny luxury cookie cutter pickups with a real-deal truck with real character. And it only cost $2800 in great condition.
1991 Ram Charger canyon sport
I wanted the truck because my grandfather had to and I used his 1990 and loved it. So I was drving to the store and saw the one I now own on the side of the road. Called the guy the next day and the next week. Only problem I have with this is the guy I got it from put a spray in bed liner on the rocker panels and now they're rusted out. I got new ones for under 500 bucks. For the 5 years I have owned it I have not had any major problem besides needing new ball joints, water pump, heating core and a radiator. I love this truck and I'm going to restore it.
One good vehicle
This vehicle has been driven from Georgia to Costa Rica one and a half times. Driven in Costa Rica on roads you would not believe. Vehicle now in Costa Rica and is being brought back to the states next month. Only item that was replaced on vehicle was the battery. Only thing that could stand improvement is the gas milage.
ghoast
The 1990 DodgeRam Charger is the thoughest SUV ever built in the United States.
Old Faithful
Old Faithful, reliable on road trips, smooth ride, better gas mileage than my mom's brand new Nissan pickup. It's comforting to be in one of the biggest vehicles on the road.
A Real Truck
It's an invincible truck. 192,000 miles and running strong. No complaints whatsoever, its great to look at other trucks and see I actually drive a real one. It'll still be around in 20 years when all these other trucks are spent.

91 Dodge LE
I like the size, road ability, view from front seat, and fuel consumption. I have replaced the brake pads, radiator, battery, and starter with re- built parts. It has been garage kept since purched.
'91 Pamcharger
Had it for the last 5 years, and it was purchased used. Overqall rating: I would buy another one fi it was available.
Solid & reliable
This is a solid, reliable truck! I bought it used in '02. The only work I've had to do other than normal maintenance was replace the radiator, waterpump, ball joints and a tie rod end, and they were still the originals that came with the truck! Rides like a short wheel base truck with leaf's on all 4 corners, but seats are very comfortable. It's just this year starting to get some rust on the rockers. Note:always check above the windshield on these, they can tend to rust there, mine hasn't yet. The 360 FI engine run's like a bull, good 3-speed auto. tranny, excellent 4-wheel drive.I've never gotten stuck anywhere.Swallows ton's of cargo. I get anywhere from 13 to 16 mpg.
Mopar or No Car
I am 3rd generation Mopar. I have owned many ranging from late 60's Sweptlines, mid 70's Power Wagons, mid 80's Rams, to early 2000 Dakotas. I swear by them the same as my grandfather did. And I walked away from 3 accidents that Im convinced would have ended me if I wasn't in a Dodge. My wife and I picked up a 1990 Ramcharger. The 360 needed the main bearing replaced so I just pulled the engine and put in a moderately built 318. I'm a huge fan of the 318. I also put hooker competition headers on and dualed the exhaust. I was pulling 22-25 mpg. For real. But I did run highway tires on it because we took it so many places. It was our only vehicle for a few years. We have put easy 300,000 + miles on that motor and it came out of a late 60's Dodge. She is running a little weak so this summer Im gonna pull the motor. Not sure if I will rebuild the motor or put a crate motor in it. My wife and I have a difference of opinion. So maybe I just rebuild it and tell her its a crate motor. Anyway, if you ever have the opportunity to pick up a Ramcharger I suggest you do it. You won't be sorry.

Big Red Ram
They just don't make vehicles like this anymore. Lots of room. Solid body. The only true downside to this vehicle is the gas mileage. But never had serious problems just minor maint. Right now I have it at the body shop for a fresh coat of paint. Cause that's all it needs after 16 years. If you have one hold on to and take care of it.
1993 Ramcharger
Exceptional truck. 360 (5.9) Magnum. Love the Ramcharger.
93 RamCharger
very good 4x4 but that year model doesn't allow a receiver to pull a trailer and parts are very difficult to find if you want to stay Mopar.
