Happy Hemi Owner
This is my 2nd Dodge Truck the first was a 1999 SLT 360 cubic inch Quad cab. I now have 45,000 miles in 3 years on this 2005 Hemi Laramie and it has never been in the shop that I can recall. The miles are probably 50/50 city highway, with 1/2 the highway pulling a Bass Boat.
The Big Dog
An absolute pleasure to own. The fuel economy is about the only negative to this truck, and for the power that engine packs, it's well worth it. Plenty of power, plenty of space, and the instrument cluster is the cleanest looking of any vehicle I have ever had. Switching to 4WD is a snap. The towing capacity is more than adequate, and the ride is firm, but comfortable. I have never regretted buying this truck, it is a fantastic buy.

Great Truck.. Drinks Gas !
I love my Dodge.. I love the hemi.. but it only gets 13 miles to the gallon.. If buying gas every couple days (fillup= $52.00 in my area) doesnt bother you,it is a super truck to have.
Dealers cannot repair problems
I used to love driving the truck. The vehicle looks great and is very comfortable. The truck drove trouble free for almost exactly one year.I own the top of the line HEMI four door with all of the options except leather interior, due to personal choice. I used to be very happy with the performance and a very proud owner. The computer burned up along with two ignition coils and a bunch of fuses. The selling dealer repaired the damage, and ever since the mighty HEMI performs like a V6. I have brought it back for diagnosis, and their response is nothing is wrong. I have even brought it to another dealer. No luck in fixing the problem. It is a shame it is my first Dodge/Chrysler and probably last.
Ford guy buys Dodge instead
I have always grown up with Ford trucks. I drove a new F150 and was not impressed. Not much of a Chevy fan. Real trucks don't wear bowties! Had a few smaller Nissan trucks also. Titan was a close second but much more in price. I rented one and that sealed the deal. Hemi has great power and gas mileage is decent for size and power. For short distances, not so good 11- 13mpg. Highway I have had up to 22mpg avg is 18-20!
