Never again!
I Bought this truck because I had heard good things about the new Dodge trucks in 2005. I have regretted it. Problems include: EGR valve, rough idle (fuel filter is attached to the fuel pump, replacement of one means replacement of both) the adjustable driver's seat track has broken five times in 39,000 miles. When the seat track breaks the seat freely travels back and forth upon acceleration or braking (dangerous and painful). Dodge has told me that they do not care. Their very high up management has told me that the safety of one person is not that important to them since there have not been many other complaints. Never again will I buy a Dodge. They do not believe in their product.
Dodge Ram 1500 Daytona Limited Hemi
I have never owned a pickup truck or actually have a need for a truck- however when i saw the limited edition Ram 1500 Daytona Edition in bright orange at a dealer... I left my Cadillac CTS-V and drove off with this great truck, By far my favorite auto ever owned. The power and handling are supurb, build quality is superior and who can't love that sound of the Hemi engine leaving corvettes at the stop light (in my dust!) The dealer installed extra's helped save me from going out and "pinping my ride"- the truck stops people in thier tracks when they see it. I am converted now, Dodge trucks from here on out. Looks like no other truck on the road. Dwarfs all the lame Chevy and Ford trucks.

There are others out there...
It's a nice looking truck, but extremely poorly detailed truck. As I drove off the lot, there were problems! Visor clip fell off. Front torsion bars needed to be replaced (with 500 miles on it). The radiator cap lost its seal, all fluid drained. I was told it "must have been a defective part". Door moulding is falling off. Truck has two shades of paint on it from front doors to rear doors. I have had it aligned three times and it still pulls to the right. Dinged the rear bumper, found it to be made from aluminum foil - or pretty close. I suggest you test drive one as well as a Chevy and a Ford.
Thank God for Extended Warranty
The specs: 4.7 magnum, auto, rwd, quad cab, sb. Have had the truck for 5 weeks. Truck has been in shop for 11 days. Work completed: head gaskets (2), timing chain, radiator replaced and water pump. Have had the truck back for a week and the check engine light is now on. On the up side the truck gets 16 mpg mixed driving, rides fairly well and looks good.
Impressed with Dodge
My first Dodge got off to a poor start. On the third day of ownership I noticed a large puddle of oil under the truck. After having to wait a couple of days to get the truck in for service a hole was found in the front wheel differential (4x4). I was given a free loaner and 8 days later I got my new truck back. It has been trouble free since. The 5.7 Hemi makes good power and sounds great (and no complaints on mileage), nice shifting 5 speed automatic, comfortable automobile like ride, rock solid build quality and plenty of well thought out in cabin storage. It beats my previous Chevy and Ford trucks hands down, Im sold!
