Used 2018 Dodge Grand Caravan Consumer Reviews
Hardly Grand!
After a 5-day rental of a new 2018 Grand Caravan SXT, I simply cannot recommend this vehicle for rental or purchase. Even with the V-6, the vehicle is sluggish. In highway driving it is very unsettled, and tends to sway side-to-side. Most unsettling is the key/fob device that protrudes out so far when inserted into the ignition that it's easy to bump. Indeed, I lightly brushed it with my knee while motoring down the highway at 70 mph, and the van SHUT OFF. Seating is cramped, even for an average-sized driver (6', 190 lbs). And for a minivan, vision is surprisingly restricted. Outside of its ability to haul 7 people and decent gas mileage, it's simply an abysmal vehicle.

Guess I have been spoiled by Chrysler
My children and I were very disappointed in the lack of features and comfort. Perhaps we have been spoiled by our 2010 Chrysler Town & Country but this Van just did not live up to our expectations.

Get Out of Dodge
Having this Van for 18 months, I absolutely DISLIKE the vehicle. The antenna does not go down, therefore one should not enter the speedy carwash. The safety issue on this car is horrible it should be reported to the National Safety Department, the passenger doors do not open with the button or otherwise. Absolutely no warning the doors were going out come all of a sudden the children are stuck in the car only can exit through the hatch back or climb over the seats to get to the front door. The radio system sucks, audio is great but if you want to call somebody it Miss reads what name you are saying and come up with names you never heard of or names that are not even in your phone. What I like about the vehicle it is flex fuel so yes I'm using E85. Overall I absolutely hate this vehicle.

Slide doors not opening and hear a screatching
The car is making a noise on the left side the right side made that noise and then shut off and stopped opening. Then my breaks in the back when we’re on a long trip or going up and down the mountains going up north the breaks scream here and tremble. The car overall is good but, I don’t like the little problems the doors have. I think they should warranty these things and I can’t be the only one experiencing these issues.

Solid and reliable highway car.
Bought a used GT from one of the rental companies over 4 1/2 years ago, with about 32,000 miles. Have put over 70,000 miles on it and love this van. With 4 grandchildren and a large dog, we needed something roomy and comfortable. More than adequate power, and the handling is fine. Great visibility when driving around town. Good seating position for longer highway trips. My wife has a ‘17 Dodge Durango, and we find the van to be much better for road trips. It has better storage and gets better mileage. Reliability has been excellent. For the price, compared to the competition, it’s been a home run.
