Worst Gas Mileage I Ever Had
For the most part I like this car. It's moderately comfortable, reliable, the overall "package" is good, but the gas mileage is absolutely horrible. The sticker said it would get an average of 20 mpg, based on 18 mpg on city streets and 24 mpg on highways. It isn't too bad on highways, getting an average of about 20 to 22 mpg when driving long distance and maintaining a steady speed of about 50 mph. But in stop and go city driving, it's awful. Maybe about 8 or 9 mpg at best. Since I don't travel much, do mostly city driving, and the fact the I am retired and don't have tons of money, I can't say I am happy at this point. Dodge says they will fix it, so all I can do is wait and see if they do. We'll see how much "Chrysler Cares" actually cares... Update 7\1\2017: It's been a year and a half since I bought this car, and my opinion of it and Chrysler overall hasn't changed a bit. The car is still reliable, and gets awful gas mileage. Since they did absolutely nothing about this, I can only assume that "Chrysler Cares" about their customers as much as the government does about clean air and emissions standards. I have discussed this situation with both Chrysler and the dealership at length, and neither has done anything about it. I wonder if the old bit of painting the car yellow and putting signs on the sides and back saying "This Lemon bought at ________ Dodge" would help any? I still like this car, but a key reason I bought it was the fact that my last car (which was the same model, but a 2004) was getting 10 mpg and was getting to be a maintenance nightmare running me about an average of $600.00 a month to keep it on the road. The new one actually costs me more, given that my insurance went way up. But on the upside this car is a lot safer than the 2004. One interesting (but tolerable) electronics quirk, is that when I try to use my cell phone through the Uconnect system, quite often it has dialing problems. For example, if I try to call my son Jack using a preset number, it will quite often say something like (I don't remember exactly, old age and all that) "You have dialed 4#. Is this correct?", and the only way to clear the computer's memory once it starts doing that is to turn the car off and restart it, thus resetting the computer. You can dial manually on the phone and then it works, but if there's nobody else in the car to do that for me, I can't do it because it's illegal to do that while driving. (Distracted driving...) Other times it will say something else that is also incorrect, but if I instead say "Call France" it works ok and the call goes through. I guess the computer's voice recognition program thinks that "Jack" and "France" sound the same. Should an emergency ever arise, I seriously doubt the Uconnect system would allow me to call 911 without having problems. I hope I never have to test that theory.

Ticky Dodge
Gear van very reliable but there is something about Dodge engineering, their motors in some vehicles have ticking lifters

Constant shifting and lack of power on highway
Drove a 2016 SXT rental with 6400 miles for a 600 mile trip. With only one passenger, the vehicle struggled to maintain highway speeds uphill and constantly downshifted to maintain a constant speed on even modest grades. I can't imagine what this symphony of shifting would be like with a load of passengers and cargo. External rear and lateral visibility was also unsatisfactory and the rear view camera was small and dim. The touch screen was small and a long reach for the driver and the info center above the steering column while easy to navigate was a hard to read backlit LCD configuration that oddly didn't show miles to empty while displaying the speedometer. Just seemed like a pretty half-heartedly designed vehicle. On the good side, the middle storage console was spacious and easy to access.
