Wanted a reliable vehicle with 3rd row seating, nobody money wise can compare to the Caravan. Ford and Chevy stopped making mini vans and there comparable SUV's (traverese and Explorer) are way more.. Honda and Toyota Mini Vans are way more also. Caravan was majorly overhauled, nice comfortable seating, DVD entertainment system, stow and go storage, smooth ride (never feel any bumps), good warranty 5yr/100,000 miles, strong engine also has an economy fuel button where you get better gas mileage if you don't need all the HP in your engine at the time.

Reliable, but TONS of issues. Strong engine, never had any serious issues with the engine. 170k miles tranny is starting to act up, wipers decide when they want to work, had to rig up some wiring in the tipm to get past faulty fuel pump relay, replaced brakes CONSTANTLY due to being undersized, replaced the alternator 3 times. A lot of little things that add up to some serious frustrations. Interior is OK, fold flat seats are great, drivers seats are decent, fuel mileage is decent. Interior design is good for a minivan, exterior is ok, held up well with the amount of abuse its taken over the years. All that said, if you don't mind kicking it once every few months because the alternator or breaks or wipers fail its a beast that will keep on ticking.

Pros: Great Highway Gas Mileage, Stow N Go is handy, U Connect. Cons: transmission shifts poorly (especially with ECO), engine valve tick (seems to happen on all of these 3.6 engines) soft paint with hundreds of stone chips on front bumper, hood, and fender flares, unprotected rusty oil pan, and thin sheet metal. The sliding doors rattle and need electrical tape on the latches to help reduce the noise. My Kia Sedona is in much better shape at twice the age. ** update - I sold the 2011 Caravan and kept my 2007 Sedona. ** second update - Sold the Caravan over 4 years ago and Still drive the 2007 Sedona
