Let me start off by saying, I really do love the Durango. I love the styling which is one of the main reasons I bought it. It's been 4 years and I'm considering trading it and this is why. At 41,000 miles I noticed a couple of drops of what appeared to be oil on my driveway. I thought it might be a loose plug since the dealership had recently changed the oil. It was not coming from there, rather farther back, so being under powertrain warranty, I took it in. Good news and bad news they said. The leak was from the transfer case, both input and output seals as well as the transfer case seal on the two halves. All covered under warranty. Great...bad news...they also found that the power steering box was devoid of fluid, nearly bone dry. So there was never any fluid under the car, so where did it all go? They had no explanation, but it needed to be replaced completely. To the tune of two grand. What? With 41,000 miles? The dealership was able to sell me an extended warranty which covered steering and suspension components to the tune of $250 which was great, heading in the right direction anyway. I called up Dodge customer support and was able to influence them into covering half of the warranty purchase, so now I'm getting the repair for $125. I really can't complain about that too much, but I do have a problem with a vehicle with low mileage needing probably 3-4k in repairs already. Above that, I have had SEVERAL electrical bugs which have occurred over the years which cannot be explained or repaired. I had a list of 7 different issues that were one time events, all different, but by the time I decided to talk to service about it, I was out of warranty so I have not pursued it since none have been repeatable. For instance, I got out of the car one day and the alarm went off. Could not get it to stop no matter what I did. It finally timed itself out and never repeated. Another time, I got in and started the car and the engine revved way high. Had to shut down the car to make it stop. Another time, used the remote starter and when I got in, I pushed the starter button as normal to drive away, but nothing would happen. Nothing would work. Ended up getting out of the car and using the remote to shut the car off then getting back in to start it like normal. All of these things are adding up to me thinking I'm going to have some hefty repair bills coming my way if I don't get out of this vehicle.

I owned a 2003 Durango and the improvements in its ride and handling are remarkable. I bought it at Capital Chrysler in Garner from Sal R., who is a very good rep and takes care of his customer during and after the sale.

This SUV is simply amazing. We looked at the Tahoe, Suburban, which were both overly priced and pretty plain on the inside. We then looked at the Nissan Armada, which was comfortable but the gas mpg was 13. We then looked at the 2013 Ford Expedition Limited and it had very loud road noise. Then we found it! The AWD, 5.7 Liter RT Durango. It's fast, very comfortable. Has every option out there and rides soooo smooth. We absolutely love the SUV. Best in class by far.

purchased this new, may of 2013. Have put close to 6k miles on it already, but that included a trip to florida from md. Getting very decent gas milage for such a big vehicle, with AWD. Rides great, its quiet, with plenty of power. I average 23-24mpg in mixed driving, but got over 27mpg on the last fillup on the way home from florida! So far we've been very happy with this vehicle, and will post an update down the road....

2013 Dodge Durango Citadel 4dr SUV AWD (3.6L 6cyl 5A)

Our Dodge Durango Citadel is a beautiful car. Comfort and performance wise it is the nicest vehicle we have ever owned. Unfortunately the fun stops there. Dodge has several recalls out on this vehicle that they don't have the parts to fix. Our car currently won't start due to a recall issue and the dealership has no idea how to fix the problem because there are no parts to fix the issue. Imagine owning a 50000 dollar vehicle that won't start and has an unfixed brake booster recall. That is the Dodge experience.
