Great Car

I purchased this car used in 2000 and it has performed very well over the past 82,000 miles. Fuel ecomomy is great for such a large car. 28 to 29 mpg is comparable to a Honda Accord. Repairs have been low. A faulty sensor and a bad cooling fan have been the only repairs. My only complaints would be the discoloring head light covers and the sticking rear windows.

This car preforms well and gives me the power I need. I wish this vehicle was available in a manual transmission. The car is extremely quiet and relaible. I recommend this to anybody interested in looking splendid while feeling like a champion bahiend the wheel.

Poor Car/Worse Dealership

Please do not make the same mistake I did when purchasing this car. Purchased the car new from a local dealership. Over the next three years the car needed the transmission replaced once, speed/shifting sensor went out twice, power windows went out twice (every window), wiring to back speakers went out, half the interior lights stopped working (not bulbs burnt out), and the engine smoked and knocked no matter what octane we used. Most of these were after the warranty expired and the dealership was the worst to deal with. Before this car I never considered buying from other than the Big 3 but I just purchased a Toyota to replace the Concorde

This car has been great. Its only problem was the driver (small front-end collission). Mechanicaly everything has performed very well. Comfort is great. Looks are excellent. Noise is a little higher since I added a K&N air filter. Brake pedal is a little soft, would love to get a little more resistance when pressed. Overall, the car is everything that I wanted. I don't understand why JPPower rates this car average.

Bought the car with 7k miles. Since then driver side power window came off the track because of a broken clip inside. Back right power window has been stuck almost from day one. (I suspect the insulation around the window melted the window shut). Knob on radio and truck open broke. Back right door weather stripping coming off. Headlight insulation is creeping off. American Specifications what do you expect. Still the sharpest sedan on the planet. Engine/trans are great. What is up with the trade in value?? I love this big pup!

I have a 99 Concorde with 103,000 miles now. It's been a reliable car very luxurious for the money besides 1 starter and 1 ac condenser. No problems at all. If you are thinking on buying one of this cars smart decision.

My family is had this car for about 15 years now it was bought with about 160,000 miles and now it has 364,000 MI. It's been sitting for a Several years as it's been retired even though it was running fine and had no real problems it was just time to retire it. However recently I've decided to take it out of the shed and start driving it again as gas has become a bit expensive to drive a big V8 hemi around everyday. Starts right up, no smoke, changed the oil put fresh gas in runs great brakes are a little stiff but they're working out it's just an unbelievable car and it's still really plush nice leather nice gauges just simplicity. So change your oil every 3,000 miles, drive it nice and it will last forever. This is not the case for the 2.7 liter however so you're in luck if you got the LXI model and not the LX. The 2.7 l was made with oiling holes that sent oil up tothe valves that were far too small and they get gunked up and eventually ruin the motor most 2.7's I see out there are running like crap and are trailing a bunch of Blue smoke. My dad drove this to work and back home 90 miles a day for over 10 years and he drove between 55 and 60 and always put good gas in it. Basically it was the recipe to be able to drive a car for 400,000 miles and he never used synthetic, just used standard co-op oil oil of the big barrel that every other car or truck got in small town Minnesota. I love this car I just love it if you like me and just are not looking to stand out just looking to fit in this is the car for you if you find a good used one don't hesitate. The only thing that I've done a couple times now is refurbished the headlights as they tend to yellow over time, but no rust and runs like a charm.

This car has given my husband and I the biggest headache of our lives for two years. It is now sitting in our driveway, not running and we are trying to sell it as is and telling them they have to tow it away, because I refuse to put another penny into it! Timing chain has gone twice, air conditioning has been fixed numerous times and still doesn't work, trunk won't stay up, driver window won't go down, replaced battery numerous times, dash cluster replaced, starter replaced, car takes forever to start when you turn the key, seals around windows, paint chipping, etc. So many other things I can't recall because they have all run together! Wish I could drive this car into the lake.

i had bought this 1999 chrysler concorde 3.2 a lil over a year ago, and i brought it to someone to look at and everything came back good so i bought it. About 3 months after i bought the car i had put over way to much in to it! i had to put a new battery, timing belt, water pump, head gasket, head cylinder, new engine. Then i have problems with the lights in the car, pass window motor went out, driver window went off track more then once, trunk wont stay open had it fixed 3 times, the gas millage is sooooo bad! Then only good thing about the car is it is roomy and the body looks nice.
