I currently have 23,000 miles on my 2006 trailblazer. My check engine light came on, and they said it was misfiring in the cylinders. They replaced one, but that didn't fix it. Gm told them to replace the whole head and gaskets. They billed gm for over $6,000 warranty work, and now the light is on again. They are saying it is a parts problem, but they have to order the same part again to put back in it..$6,000 more dollars. My warranty is up in 2 more months, and I am trading this vehicle. My cousin has one also, and has problems. The service manager told me that it was a problem with the in line 6 engine in this vehicle.

After two years, this truck has proven dependable and still in good shape. We drive it off road regularly because we live off road, and it hasn't yet developed squeaks or rattles. 6 cyl engine provides enough power to pull a trailer and averages 17 mpg for combined use. Problems after 33,000 miles: passenger window sometimes sticks, rear window washer hose lose, read door gasket sags. Overall, meets our expectations.

Impressive power, LT AWD V8 6.0L (SS)

I own a 2002 Z28 Camaro & the Trailblazer SS comes very close to feeling like a muscle car wrapped in an SUV. I bought the SS because I wanted something that was fast but could handle in the snow & was more of a day to day vehicle (shopping etc.), this SUV fits the bill. It handles like a sports sedan and sticks to curves like glue, not at all what I expected for a truck after driving a Camaro. The suspension is firm but not stiff & the ride is smooth. Acceleration is top notch for something weighing 6,000lbs. I clocked 0-60 at 5.9 secs. The LS2 at 395HP/400LB is a great match. It also brakes very well. The interior is nice with leather & the driver info center is helpful. Great job Chevy.

Ever since I've had the vehicle I have had nothing but problems. The traction control light come on all the time and the check engine light. I've had it tested for the traction control lights and they said the computer chip needed reset and they did that. However, the lights still come on all the time. Now we are experiencing a very bad miss in the engine and it won't hardly run. I will never own another Chevrolet because I've had nothing but trouble ever since I've purchased this vehicle.

If you don't drive a lot of miles, the low MPG won't make too much difference. (This was actually cheaper for me to lease than a less expensive vehicle because of special GM rebates, even with the high gas prices.) Comfortable ride and lots of options and cool little features with the Info Center! The wind noise is noticeable, but the nice sound system will make you forget about it. Drives more like a car than a truck. Has lots of room for people and stuff. The dash controls have more knobs than buttons, so you can turn to your choice directly, instead of pushing a button 10 times to get there. Subtle, but nice. Overall, a great car/truck.
