Great
The trailblazer to me is the best suv out there,Hands down.
Satisfied Customer
I'm not one to usually go with Chevy, but the Trailblazer is a great truck with a third seat that can fit a real person. And it can fit in the garage. It handles great and has all the power I could ask for. The gas mileage was also a pleasant surprise. I've had the Trailblazer almost 3 weeks and am still very happy with the purchase.

I enjoy this car better than my Tahoe
I really like my trailblazer. It's fun to drive, peppy and pretty comfortable. I do think the styling could be better and the instument panel is hard to read. Kind of reminds me of a Camry my sister has.
A HAPPY FAMILY!
WE ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS VEHICLE! WE NEEDED LOTS OF ROOM FOR OUR FAMILY OF FIVE AND THIS HAS IT! WE CAN SEE OURSELVES BEING REPEAT TRAILBLAZER OWNERS. LOTS OF COMFORT AND FUN TO DRIVE!
The Ulimate SUV
I have a 2003 Trailblazer LS All I can Say is WOW .. This is by far the best SUV I have ever driven. Traded a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited (JEEP was in the shop every other week Up til the end) Differential problems, Transmission probelms and rotors every 10,000 miles or so -- That is unheard of, well so I thought.. Anyway, drove every mid size SUV before deciding on the Trailblazer. Purchased it because it had the best ride and all the features I wanted and the price was right.. I do not have the wind noise a lot talk about -- As to gas mileage City is around 16 HWY 22 I live in the mountains not the flat lands This is an SUV not a Civic.. I LOVE It Drive one and see for yourself ......
My Trailblazer
Best vehicle I have ever owned. No problems whatsoever in the 25000 miles I have put on it. More than ample room for my family on long trips. Smooth and very quiet drive. I definately recomend people to test drive one if they are in the market for a midsize SUV.
Chevrolet TrailBlazer LTZ
This vehicle is very comfortable and quiet on long trips, as well as off road. Off road capabilities are much better than the many reviews that I have read, e.g., AutoByTel, Edmunds, KBB, etc., would lead one to believe. The DVD entertainment is very nice, and the Bose audio is great. Fuel mileage is about the same as our 1996 Chevrolet Blazer LS 4WD, with much better ride, handling, and appointments.
from texas to colorado!!
This is the best vehicle that I have owned. Tough, fun, and looks good while working hard. Quick enough and responds quickly(speeding up or slowing down). perfect for both city and rual drives.
TBLAZER
I purchased a 2002 Trailblazer in January 2002 and in a year have put 19,800 miles on it. It is a solid vehicle, however, it has been in for service 12 times in a year. Squeeks, seat belts that stangle you, vibration in the steering column, popping noise when turning the steering wheel, and a new transmission at 11,000. The transmission started to squeel. Although this vehicle is a drastic improvement over the current S-10 based Blazer, I recommend that everyone buy a 2003 model over a 2002. Apparently, Chevy has fixed most of the first year bugs.
Trailblazer LS
Love everthing about it!!
Very nice vehicle
Our TrailBlazer is great to drive, and has plenty of power. The ride is better than any other SUV we test drove. It is very comfortable, and has lots of room inside for my family and anything else we have put in the back besides. If I were to have one complaint about the vehicle, it would be the poor design of the weather seals around the doors. The seals are to easy to catch yourself or something you are hold on, subsequently pulling them loose. Overall, it is a great vehicle. I would buy another one in a heartbeat (no pun intended).
Great vehicle
The V-8 is very smooth and powerful. Great if you are towing anything. While the I6 is an excellent choice, the V8's 50ft/lbs of additional torque is easily noticed. Plenty of room. Try 6 people and about 14 pieces of luggage. Economy is decent for a mid size SUV. 4x4 system is great. Very comfortable vehicle to drive. Feels soft at first, but perfect after you are in the back country all day.
My Grandmother Car
Fun to drive, looking forward to trying it this winter in New England. Suits my needs as a grandmother of 2 and 2 more coming. I get many compliments at my place of business.
I love my trailblazer
It is a beautiful SUV to look at, Chevy couldn't have made it look any better. Plus the options you have to suit your needs are unbelievable. Chevy hit it right on the head with this one!!
I love this SUV
I only recently purchased my TrailBlazer, but I love it. It may not have has many toys as the LT, or LTZ models, but for pure driving pleasure it is just as good. The engine as one would expect has tremendous punch to it. It really takes off when you hit the gas. The ride is smooth and quite. In fact, if you are driving on the highway, you will hit 75-80 mph before you know it. I had put off buying this SUV for year (when the 2002 TrailBlazers arrived). If you want a smooth, powerful truck, buy this one.
Trailblazer could use improvement
I have three kids and it is a tight fit with all of them in the 2nd row. It is difficult getting the kids in and out of the 3rd row seat. The rear seat DVD entertainment system is not the best. We constantly get a "Disc format error" or "Disc play error" and have found the DVD system is quite touchy. The sound for the DVD only comes through the wireless headphones. It would have been nice if the sound came through the speakers as well. It also would be nice to be able to control the DVD from the front seat. Gas mileage is okay (14 mpg). The third row seat is also a bit cumbersome.
First new Chevy
2003 Trailblazer LS 4x4 w/option pkg 1 Love the truck!! Great power and very smooth. I have been researching suv's for a while for use as a commuter and frequent summer towing of a boat and camping trailer, this is the only mid- sized suv that fills the bill. rides and handles better than most suv's I have driven. This is the first of three new vehicles that has not gone back to the dealer for service or problems within the first 5000 miles.I have not had any problems, avg 19 mpg. Excellent dealer experience. suspension is a little light to be a real off-road contender.
Kick Ass Ride!
Edmunds.com was essential to the purchase of this awesome truck. It has everything that I need (with a few extras of course) I am thoroughly pleased with the vehicle. My wife drove it for the first time after almost a month of ownership and now she wants one of her own!
2002 Trailblazer problems
We received the vehicle and the bolts came off a electrical module connected to the engine. There were several rattles not yet fixed or found. The steering wheel was crooked and the dealership tried to say it was because all roads slanted to the right. There is a loud rattle in the engine when the vehicle is switching out of 1st gear.
LOTS OF GOODIES
JUST GOT THE CAR AFTER HAVING A MINIVAN FOR 2 YEARS AND I AM VERY SUPRISED WITH THE RIDE AND COMFORT OF THE TRAILBLAZER. HAS A TON OF ROOM AND IT IS VERY VERSITAL WITH ALL THE FOLD DOWN SEATS. DRIVES EXTREMLEY QUIET WITH LOTS OF PICK UP.IT ALSO HAS JUST ABOUT EVERY GADGET I HAVE EVER SEEN IN A CAR.
Trailblazer EXT LT
I enjoy driving this truck but it still needs some overhauling. My doors stick and I was told by the dealership that's because they're so well made. THEY STICK and I can't open them :) Comfort is there, extra features are there but for an SUV it's a little pricey. Gas Mileage could be better, I run 11 to 12 around town and max 16 on the highway in the 6 cylinder. Standard wheels with the upscale packages are not pretty to look at. Overall a decent SUV but can use some improvement
Power
I love every second i spend on it. I'm an off roader and i love the way it feels. I forget there is not concrete below me. It is smooooooothe. Power... jaja Power that's something you cannot feel until you take it on the highway. you have to feel the pool this SUV has once it goes over 3000 RPM IT PULLS.
Excellent so far!
Though I have only had this car for less than a week, I have only found one thing I dont like. The recirculate button on the AC is not the default when you turn the car on. I had a honda and it was always the default.
Trading it in after 4 months
Owned vehicle for 4 months. Air conditioning has gone out three times and the dealer tells me that it is very very common. In fact, he told me that it may go out again. Squeeky back window and horrible suspension. The seats are confortable if you are under 6 feet tall. Gas mileage is good for the engine size. If you dont mind not having air conditioning its a great vehicle, just make sure to visit it once or twice in the shop. We have a 2001 Chevy 3500 and a 2002 Corvette with no problems. Chevy just hasnt gotten the Trailblazer down, time for us to look to Jeep for help with an SUV
First two weeks with a 2003
So far I have been very pleased with my new 2003 LTZ 4wd. I have always been a Chevy fan and found that the TB was an excellet choice for mid size SUV. The only real thing that Chevy could have done better on is the front seats, too much slip side to side. I have leather and you have to hold yourself in place on sharp turns. Very happy with performance and handling. Great ride and easy to drive for around town use.
2000 design, but 1970s quality
I'm very satisfied with the size, solidness, ride, interior comfort, and the top-end power. On the down side, I'm not impressed with the stereo's sound, cheesy-looking dashboard and slow steering response. I'm very disappointed with the low/mid engine response (flat spots/surges), poor glass quality, poor fitment of window trim (all 4 doors and sides of windshield).
Best SUV I ever driven
This is the one SUV I found that drives smooth like a large car. It's very roomy and We traded in our 2002LS for a 2003EXT only cause we needed a little more room for our children and travel. Chevy did a great job with this vehicle.
After 20 years, I think I'm done with GM
Having only had this vehicle 2 months, I finally had the "last straw" American car experience. The TrailBlazer wont let go of my key....stuck in the ignition, I will now get abused at the dealership and loaned a musty old Cavalier or Malibu while the switch is replaced and I have to take a morning off work. This is my last GM car... and I get a family discount that has kept me in the guilt of buying a GM all my life. I'd rather buy a smaller Honda that is $3,000 cheaper to keep my payments the same than have to deal with the morons at a GM dealership 4-5 times a year like I have been. Bye GM. Hello Honda, Toyota, hell, I think I'll try a Hyundai.
A great Buy!!
This Trailblazer is anything I could have asked for. I paid a great price and for the money I spent. It out performs any out performes any other ute out there.
Lovin the ride
I have only had this vehicle for about a month, So far I love it. It has been into the shop once for hard shifting, a squeeking noise from the motor, and my molding on the passanger window was going down with the window. I went from a Grand Am GT to the LTZ and I am very excited to use the 4wd this winter.
Trailblazer LS 4WD is quite bland
We've had ours for nearly 2 years now. We have put 17K miles on it and haven't had any mechanical issues as of yet. I did not know about the "marinal" crash offset score when we bought it. However, the side impact (front and rear) ratings are excellent. Folks are saying they are getting 14-16MPG with this SUV...we average right at 20MPG (cautious driving technique). The vehicle doesn't handle very well on curvy roads. The steering response is very lack luster. The transmission doesn't seem to know what gear it wants. The interior looks as cheap as they come. The stereo is decent for a base factory model. Rear comfort is like a 2 door sports coupe.
Awesome
From the time I set foot in this truck I was in heaven. It rides better than the Jeep Grand Cherokee I had previous and it is a lot easier to drive. I do not feel 'top heavy' in this vehicle and it is very well priced for what you get.
Lucky Me!!!
We bought our Trailblazer ext after owning a GMC minivan for 6 years. We have 4 very active daughters so we were needing plenty of room. I didn't really want that "soccer mom" look anymore. I fell in love with this sporty looking SUV!! It handles beautifully! I usually put an average of 30,000 miles on a vehicle annually. So far in 10,000 miles it has lived up to its reputation! We highly recommend it to everyone.
Nice overall
love this car. It has such power. A little slow at first but once it gets going it rips. Three people in my family have 4 door blazers from years 96-2002. I feel like the king since mine is so much larger. Great car overall I have owned the car for 4 days, I am scared to fill up the tank! Thanks GM.
Satisfied Trailblazer owner
I special ordered the car and it arrived with the exact equipment ordered with not a scratch or blemish. I got the 3.42 rear end and the milage has been +-18.0 from the start with 1,500 miles of suburban driving. Just a great car to drive.
Mio's Review
This car is very nice. The only thing i don't like about it is it is very high so when i wash it i have to get my stool, but other wise i love it.
S2S
Its Simply Amazing. It is the greatest SUV Ive Ever seen
Tough, Fun & Practical
I have found my Trailblazer LTZ to be tough, yet fun and practical. It replaces the boring old station wagons and mini vans with something able to do much more. It is quick and stable. It tows well, hauls well and the 4WD adds a measure of exploration and safety not available in those vehicles AND with reasonable fuel economy (especially vs the big station wagons) and great luxury as well.
03 Trailblazer
This SUV is very quiet and smooth, feels more like a luxury vehicle. I chose it over a Ford Explorer because the smooth ride was superior to the hard ride of the Explorer. The engine is very smooth and powerful. It is performing flawlessly so far.
Great Vehicle
This is my first SUV and first Chevy. Very happy with the vehicle. The power is amazing, and the comfort and responsiveness are great. Fuel economy could be better, but had an idea about that before I bought it. I average about 13-14 MPG, nowhere near sticker. Overall very pleased with this, and would buy another one, or recommend this.
Trailblazer LS is a great vehicle
The car is far superior to other competitive models in this class which we tried. It's 6 cyl engine is superior to most others 8 cyl. in power, performance & economy. The car is comfortable, great suspension, nice appearance, easy entry, road worthy, etc. My son drives a new Explorer and prefers our Trailblazer.
trailblazer ext
good on road can carry passengers and cargo with ease 3.73 ratio a must in ext for road preformance does cut milage to about 17.2
Love This Truck
Even though I have only had my truck for 4 months, I can honestly say that it could possibly be the best vehicle I have ever owned. I went from a 98 GMC Jimmy to a 2003 Trailblazer LT and can't even tell you how much my new truck drives like a luxury car. I can even say that I think the bodystyle looks better on the Chevy than it's sister vehicle the GMC Envoy. Simply said, "I love this Truck"!
Best car we ever owned
We love this car. We have put over 25,000 miles on this since we bought in 11 months ago (best deal is to buy the extended warranty!!!!) It drives like a dream, hauls like a horse, and is comfortable. The four wheel drive is great---no problems.
Performance
No problems with the motor, was made by Izusu for Chevrolet, towed boats and trailers without any problems. However have experienced numerous mechanical, structural and rear lights problems, all cover by warranty (bought extended to 6 years or 60,000 miles), the dealer had to supply rental cars while it was in repairs.
TRAILBLAZER 2002
I HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS WITH THIS CAR. WAS SO HAPPY WHEN BOUGHT IT, BUT VERY SOON BECAME VERY DISSAPOINTED WITH ALL PROBLEMS - EVERY TIME SOMETHING NEW. HOPEFULLY,ONLY THIS PARTICULAR CAR IS BAD.
Unsatisfied
Air conditioner wont work after only 2500 miles. Not enough leg room in rear seats. Recommend buying the RAV4 instead; better build quality. Only gets 15 mpg. Rear cupholders let drinks spill out all over new car with the slightest bump or turn.
Love It
I have never owned a chevy and now I will definitely buy another one.The ride is awsome! It rides like a Cadillac. The room in it is perfect and the seat are so comfortable. I love the duel lumbar support in the seats. The gas milage is great and it has so much power. I will buy an extended LTZ next year.
The One To Buy!
The TrailBlazer is far superior than all other SUVs in the Midsize class!
POWER HOUSE
