Reliability
I've had a great experience with my 97 Tahoe. We're selling to make room for a Volvo wagon now that we have a baby, but if I could, I would have held onto this truck for another 20 years. Gas mileage is not the best, but reliable and safe.
another Junk Chevy
I have done nothing but put money into this lemon and I only have 95k on my 97 because it is in the shop as much as on the road Alternator tranny calipers disks master brake cylinder twice anti lock brake sensor seat release on back seat radio died lights on dash most burnt out, power steering pump, and NOW head is crack what junk!!!! I will fix it an NEVER buy a Chevy again....

Tahoe is the best full-size SUV.
THE BEST SUV OUT THERE
I AM THE SECOND OWNER AND LAST OWNER OF THIS VEHICLE. THIS TRUCK IS A DREAM, THE INTERIOR I BELIEVE IS THE BEST DESIGN AND MATERIALS I HAVE EXPERIENCED WITH ANY VEHICLE THAT I HAVE RIDEN IN. I WILL NEVER SELL MY TRUCK. IT IS VERY VERSITILE DESIGN.
adios my tahoe
I just traded my faithful '97 Tahoe in on a Honda Accord. No longer need the Tahoe's room or towing ability, and gas is getting expensive. After 92k miles, it ran like brand new, used zero oil, and was as tight and rattle-free as the day I bought it. I'd give it a 10 for reliability, except I had to replace the water pump, alternator, front rotors, & rebuild the master cylinder. Otherwise it was trouble-free and only needed tires, a battery, & gas (15 mpg avg). It was an excellent, comfy, roomy, nice-driving rig, and I know there'll be times I'll miss it. I'd buy it again if I had the need.
