Used 2005 Chevrolet Suburban 1500 LS 4WD 4dr SUV (5.3L 8cyl 4A) Consumer Reviews
Suburban2004
Fully loaded this vehicle handles exceptionaly well and acceleration was beyond any expectation I had. Climate control and auxilary system for second and third row are very effective. The latch system for car seats would be nice if it were on all or at least four seats instead of just two, one of which has to go down for access to the third row. XM worth the added cost, On Star over priced, the first year was included but I don't see continuing it. Overall we have been very satisfied and can't imagine another vehicle matching our needs this well.
Finally Got My Suburban
After 25 years of wanting a Suburban, finally got one. This truck drives like a car. They have really improved the ride, noise dampening, and creature comforts. Live in an area that has a lot of hills. This truck negotiates them like they weren't even there. Some of my passengers have complained about the 2nd row seats not adjusting but not too much else. Traded in a high top conversion van which had more room but was terible in the winter for traction (2 rear wheel drive). The front bucket seats are a little tight when the arm rest is down. Find myself resting my arm on the center flip up console. Gas mileage is around 14.5 around town (with a lot of hills). Does better on the highway.

Chevy 'Burb best large SUV on the road!
I've had many Chevy Suburbans and they just keep getting better! Anyone who rides with me is impressed with the quality of the ride and all the features loaded into the cabin. Front and reat heat & A/C makes it easy to keep everyone comfortable. The turning radius is still best in class, with no other vehicle able to turn inside the tight distance it can (Ford can't do it with an Explorer, let alone the Excursion!) Off road, it goes places I've taken much smaller 4X4's and gets me back too, not that most owners will ever see backwoods with their Suburbans. Towing is fantastic, with ability to haul just about anything a person could ever need (or want to). Boats, trailers, & even skid steers!
Great Car
I have truly enjoyed my Suburban. After months of looking and researching, I had my heart set on the Yukon XL Denali. But once I saw the Z71, I realized it had every one of the features that appealed to me about the Denali, at a considerably lower cost. The touch-screen stereo/navigation system and DVD player are a must for my family of 7. The cargo space feels like 4 times that of my previous vehicle, the Ford Expedition.
Most reliable SUVon market
I have 63,488 miles on my Suburban, and I only had it at the dealer 2 times, for tire rotation and oil changes. Never failed to start up in the -20 degree temperatures in the morning. Definently a best buy
