Used 2015 Chevrolet Malibu Sedan Consumer Reviews
Makes me smile !
I bought my Malibu LT about 2 months ago and I love driving it ! It has great acceleration, and engine noise is minimal, handles great and feels very secure when driving. Other things I like : huge trunk space, awesome mileage - 33 mpg overall, Chevy dealers everywhere if needed-even rural areas, ambient blue lighting at night, remote start for Wisconsin winters, back up camera for parking and safety, road hugging , interior/exterior fit and finish, styling, concealed tail pipe, value for the money, buying experience at my local Chevy dealer- no hassle or games. Things I don't like so much: no spare tire, complicated My Link ( I hate reading a manual ) , FM reception, that's about it 😀 Overall, I would say this car should be driven and checked out if you are looking for a good looking car that performs well, can be serviced almost anywhere, and is a great value for the money.

Great power with the 196 hp 2.5L
If you need to look out the back window a lot while driving, you will not like this car. If you are like me and like look out the front window ( I really am not concerned with what is going on behind me, sorry) You will love this car! I feel the 2.5L is PLENTY of power. The 2.0 Turbo gives 40 more h.p. but gives up gas mileage and later you could be looking at costly repairs on any turbo engine.....

I love my Maibu but disappointed.
I've had my Malibu for a little over a year and I loved it from the moment the salesman pulled it up for me to test drive it. Brand new with on 3 miles. I've been on a couple road trips and loved the smooth ride and comfort. The my link and XM radios are among my favorite features. I have always disliked the start stop function and wished it was a way to disable it. Doesn't seem to save much gas and I hate the feeling that my car has stalled. A few days ago when I'd come to a stop and the feature engaged as normal, I let my foot off the brake and my radio cut off for a few seconds, then came back on. I thought nothing of it at first until it did it a second time but this time the check engine light came on and now I'm alarmed. I take it into the dealership to find out the auxiliary battery that powers the features in the car while the engine is shut off is drained and needed to be replaced. I've only had my car for exactly 13 month and this battery needs to be replaced? Luckily it's under warranty but what happens when the warranty is up? Will I have to replace this battery every year? Will it cause electrical problems? I also fear that the starter will not last because of the constant starting. As much as I love this car this lack of reliability has disappointed me and makes me worry how this car will hold up after its a few years old. I know a battery is nothing and hopefully nothing else happens that is not covered under warranty.

General Motors has done a great job!I l
Due to the character number restriction, I had to erase my original review of this automobile and provide an update after leasing this car for over a year.... I still love it! I have NEVER been more impressed by the quality of an American automobile than I have with this 2015 Malibu LTZ2. For years, we leased Nissan products and then decided to give Mercury a try with the 2008 Mariner Hybrid. It was a huge mistake. After reading the reviews on the Chevy Malibu and seeing the overall awards that Chevrolet has been given over the past few years, we decided to give American one more try. As I said, we have had this car for well over a year now, and it has given us ZERO problems and still maintains the same level of power, quiet ride, and comfort as the day we picked it up from the dealership. The controls and displays are well thought out and easily accessed. The ride is not only comfortable even on rough roads, but it is the quietest vehicle that I have ever driven! When at a stop light, I hardly notice the engine is running. Road noise is at a minimum making for a very quiet and comfortable ride. GM was very smart to develop the "On Star" system which has proven valuable many times. We get a monthly report of diagnostics and reminders for service by email. I like the fact that if the car seems to be having a problem, I can call OnStar while driving and have them run a full diagnostic. If there was a problem, I could be given directions and phone number to the nearest dealership if it were an emergency. We rarely drive the car other than stop and go city driving, so I had to estimate the combined driving MPG. With ONLY city driving in the south Florida heat, we average 17-19 MPG. My only suggestion to GM would be to give a little more room for back seat passengers and less trunk space. The trunk is huge which is nice if you are shopping and have lots of packages to cart home. But, you are sacrificing leg room for the rear seat passengers. Though it is OK as far as comfort, it would be nice to have a little more room. Overall, we are impressed by the quality, reliability and excellence in design for the Chevy Malibu. I would highly recommend that anyone considering a mid-size sedan to give this vehicle a test drive. I'm sure that you will be impressed as well.
